nice to hear some good music. . . .get tired of hearing popular music played all the time. These are college students, synonymous with accomplished musicians. They should be playing more serious music, jazz, symphonic, broadway, and other art music. Serious cinematic music such as these tunes are educational and entertaining.
Thank you for putting this up. I live in Mexico, very seldom get to a ballgame although we always watch on TV but they do not show the band. I miss that.
They're not too terribly picky :) If you show skill, you're pretty much guaranteed a spot. But, you do have to be willing to work. We do some pretty hard core stuff as you can probably see :)
Great tunes and musicianship supported by GREAT DRILL!!!!!! Thank you for entertaining the fans - when the crowd at a college game goes from polite applause to crazy cheering, it's obvious that it was an outstanding performance.
The problem with the old black and orange uniforms was that they blended in with the field and made it harder to see us. What's more, they always looked red on TV. The white really pops and makes all the different sets look really sharp.
It's very easy to get into the marching band. The audition is really just to make sure you actually know how to play. (The ensembles and symphonic bands, however, are another story entirely.)
