I've been going down a rabbit hole of Starkid live performances and this is by far the best crowd I've seen for one of their show. Being there looked like one hell of a fun time!
I stumbled across this shop the other week with my boyfriend while we were waiting for a train home but we only got about 3ft in as there we're about 30 stereotypical Japanese girls just screaming and fan girling everywhere, we weren't about to cross them for an elder wand....
Things I love about this - 1. How you can hardly hear the solo's at all because the audience is singing along so loudly. 2. Lauren's face at various occasions, such as on the 'yeah you'll be the one who is totally awesome' and when Dylan is holding the note for a ridiculously long time. 3. Meredith and Jaime with Scabbers. Just what. 4. Starkid. 5. The whole thing. And the fact that I was in the audience. And watching it, even after 7 months still makes me cry.
I kind of preferred it when it was just the sign and a trolley in the wall. I went there a few years ago and saw a young mother showing her little daughter it. It took a couple of seconds for the daughter to figure out why her mum had brought her to this dingy corner of the station, but then the penny dropped and her eyes lit up and jaw dropped with a gasp. It was truly magical to behold. But now they've got the shop there, it'll be obvious and there wont be any little moments like that.
