The May Co. (now Macy's) in Westminster had a US elevator with two sets of doors like that. It was removed in 1998 when Robinson's-May had an extension of the store built. Robinson's-May replaced the US with the current MontgomeryKone.
Do you remember the original evil looking square button US elevator with dark wood doors and dark wood interior that was in this building until the 1998 extension? It was the only elevator I refused to use in my life.
I heard Palm Springs had a hard time. We live in Rialto California and we were very fortunate. We had a little bit of problem with our cable TV. That was about it heavy rains, but no water damage and we never had really bad winds. But I know other areas fires did have a lot of heavy wind and lost power. But nothing like Palm Springs.
My dear friend thanks so much for sharing how you got through this storm. I am you’re number one fan today I’m the first one to leave a comment. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie watched. Can you do the end the whole video
They've since re-cladded the doors to stain-less steel, re-done the cabs, and replace the COPs w/ stain-less steel and now they have different EPCO buttons & no longer serve the 2nd floor. Mechanically they're still the same though.
