Okay let me break this down and answer everyones confusion! At the start the 19x14 is the total blueprint of the house. So you clear out a 19x14 square, your roof sticks out 1 block from the wall so your next square 9x11 needs to be in at least 1 block in from your outer square (which is the back of your house). Your entrance will be on the 11 block side with lots of room. Once you've determined your 2 outlines dig 1 deep in your 9x11 area leaving dirt for the four corners. Come one block in and dig 8x10 1 block deeper, this is your birch floor. You will need 10 addition deepslate blocks. The material list is correct but for your sanity bring 10 more. The rest of the tutorial is easy once you get past foundation. Thank you Rizzial.
At 1:30 how does the length of the inner square just change? Worst tutorial I’ve ever seen his measurements don’t stay consistent and change throughout the video find. A better tutorial before collecting these resources
It doesn't. The first measurements shown at 1:06 clearly show the distance between each oak log column. The second measurements at 1:30 show the total dimensions of these walls including the oak logs. In other words, the deepslate walls are 7 by 9 as shown aka the "inner square", and when you account for the oak logs at each corner the total walls become 9 by 11. Just count the blocks as it is placed if you are unsure and pay attention to where the lines are drawn.
@@critJones The 14 by 19 dimensions is the total area the complete build fits in when you are done (this is to help people know how big the build is so they can easily fit it in a location that they want). The instructions are to clear out a 14 by 19 area, no where does it say to build any walls at 0:51. You can also clearly see the dirt upon which I start building the 9 by 11 walls on are within this 14 by 19 total area at 0:51.
@@Rizzial I'm not upset with you, it just wasn't as easy to build as you're imagining. Not all of us are great builders lol. But anyway I have some instructions I'm going to write in a different comment to help others out. I've finished it :D Thank you.
