Governments have a choice, take bold action to defend against the decline of species, or continue to watch iconic animals like caribou and orca vanish from our ecosystems forever. CPAWS-BC is committed to helping them make the best decision. CPAWS-BC is part of one of Canada’s oldest non-profit conservation groups. We protect wilderness in every corner of BC and deep into the ocean. We have been defending BC since 1978, and are dedicated to keeping BC’s natural environment thriving forever. Nature is BC’s best hope.

The world is facing a biodiversity crisis. Decades of climate change and unchecked industrial development are putting nature under more pressure than ever. BC is on the frontlines of the fight to protect our last remaining large, intact natural land and seascapes, and the plants and animals that depend on them.

Nice to see local tech in use, Nuytco, and Coastal Craft. I live in Gibsons, home of Coastal Craft. Howe Sound glass sponges are protected, but there is still occasional illegal activity in the area.

As Annita settles into her new role as the Executive Director of CPAWS-BC, she took some time to share her story, and to hear from donors and supporters like you. Annita also shares a sneak peek at the ways our supporters are helping to defend lands, waters and wildlife in 2021. “We’ve gained a lot of momentum on important conservation issues and we know what we need to do to reach ambitious goals. With your continued support and enthusiasm, I know we can turn things around for nature.” - Annita Mcphee Protect lands and waters at: cpawsbc.org/support
