Damn... down to cruises. Thanks for the video, though, Liz. These guys got fucked because of timing. They're as talented as any band and made a lot of good music.
@@lizbaker4693 It's just sad to me. And listening to Kip, who I always thought was as talented as any of them, fighting for those notes at the end... tough.
Thank you for sharing. The one song I wanted and needed to hear last night. "That's one of the great things about music. "You can sing a song to 85,000 people, and they will sing it back for 85,000 different reasons." -Dave Grohl
The year was 1989...November. Their first album had just been released and they were shopping it up and down the East Coast...great times, those 1900's...😂
Funny story (to me)...I met Nuno and this amazing band at a dive bar in Norfolk, VA called "On Stage". He and I were both 23 at the time...and the "guitar fire" had already been lit under my ass a few years earlier. Needless to say, I immediately latched on to his way of playing...his "take"...on how his inspiration took him to the place he was going.... I was at the Roanoke show with my 17 year old daughter (who also plays!)... and she absolutely loves him and this band. It's amazing how it came full circle... I told her it was great because she didn't have to see a tribute band. I thought they were better in '24 than they were in '89!
Perhaps my favorite song as it's the first one I ever heard by the Smoke in 2017 on Colbert. This just rocks the roof! Thank you so much Liz Baker for sharing!! From France. Got my tickets for Brussels, Paris and Milan in Sept/Oct!
Kudos Liz: beautiful filming and sound in this clip! I'm right on stage with the band... Nice, nice, nice. Merci from France. Sad Brit is not there! Yikes.
That's fine, but I'm baffled. Why would you even take the time to come here and say that? Why not just go watch something you DO like and comment on that. PS. You'd probably like these guys if you gave em a chance. Have a nice day!
