This was always a timeless classic for me when I first saw this. I'm glad I found it again years later. But seriously a gem 💎. Deserves more views than it has 🤣.
Seeing Ritchie Stotts (who actually did this in the previous song, though for some reason the Tom Snyder crew edited it into both songs) run into the audience, climb across the seats, and fall on the guy in the audience was a pivotal moment for Young Me. Up until then, my impression of rock music and concerts was all choreographed precision. The sheer sloppy Fuck-You'edness of the Plasmatics appealed to me, and still does. "You mean you can DO that?" To me, that spirit of the moment remains the heart of punk rock.
I don’t know for certain, but Wendy seems like she would have made a great neighbor. She’d keep to herself for the most part, spending her days tending to her garden, but you could sit in the backyard together on a summer night and exchange bread recipes. She seemed sweet, smart and too advanced for this world.
I don't care how 'anti-establishment' you were, Punk music sucks. The attitude is fun, but the music blows. Wendy isn't a singer, she's an angry stripper with a microphone.
