That looks pain in the ass to install for just an upgrade for filtration, its not even needed for such a small tank, and yeah cleaning those would be a nightmare.
Can this be done to the 5 or 6 gallon? Also Is that sump you made I think Its called. I am a newbie but shelving the media sits in, is that on the original edge or is that a conversion kit to buy from you I guess. I seemed to have missed the first video. Please let me know as I was going good friday shopping tomorrow and might pick up one on sale Just the regular type that is

very nice set up. easy simple and compact. but why. why would you bury your heater in the substrate. why?! you never bury or obstruct it. especially all the way. smh. was great except for that one newbie mistake.
Honestly, why has the Fluval Edge manufacturer not come up with this design? Brilliant. There is so much wasted space in the back as a stock freshwater tank. I'm not sure if your company is still in operations, as your website does appear to be down. I may try building something similar myself for my own tank. Thanks!
dude you are the men I have to freshwater plant it tank 12g and I been looking for a way to make one of them a reef tank ... what you just did got me going crazy I have to get that system for one of my tank
Thanks this is a very thought out setup and the attention to detail is fantastic. Most tanks are ghetto lishish and for people that only have a limited amount of space this works. The only thing that I would would change is the tubing I would use Eheim tubing. I have some that is over 30 years old.
The light alone is about 250 to 300 bucks and the skimmer is about 100 bucks, yeah it is expensive but it is worth it. Check out Nanobox Facebook these lights are fantastic and worth it.
I have a Fluval Edge 12 gallon without any of this. Its been running for 3 months and I've had no issues. Not really necessary. Recommend the light for corals but you can achieve this without sump, skimmer etc. I have 2 clowns, live rock, live sand, filter, power head.
@@chloe-juliana2883 I think I am going to try this! I wanted this tank for my Beta but he likes to gulp air so I settled for something I really dont like. I want the fluval. Its so sleek and modern, and I'm really gettig into saltwater reefing, as far as research and watching you tubes. Is it that hard to maintain without all this? Just Once weekly 25% water change, and of course real good cleaning and testing water?
really love the design and it looks very clean wanted to get one. 😭but sadly the price is pretty steep considering I can a much larger all in one reef ready tank with good lighting for that kind of cash!
Sorry but this thing is just so over priced anyone with a brain just spend a little time learning a CAD/CAM software such as Solidworks and you could design one yourself and probably make it better
This is cool. Great things can be done even in a little aquarium. I also started a nano saltwater aquarium. It's mediterranean. Have a look if you like...
