Woah, the fact that this didn't trigger my PTSD is something I'm incredibly grateful towards. Usually the things I loved as a kid, gives me anxiety as an adult. 💞🤗 Also, I got WAAAAAAY further in the game than I had thought!! I think I had done everything except the fight with Kane! I remember playing the second one and being like "Who's this balled clown?" 😆 Too bad the second one was kind of ruined for me because of that dumbass crows glitch. At the time, I have no idea how easy it was to avoid.

WE'RE BACK BABY!! 🤘2024 - SR1 & SR2 Remasters revealed for December 10th release in Sony's State of Play. Not a remake as much as a reskin, but it's a pretty good start. Let's hope the original music and voice acting stays the same. (Please No woke crap, please no woke crap, although sadly, feminine beauty is clearly reduced as can be seen in the comparison slide on the official trailer at the 0:29 mark). Otherwise, just the original updated with marginally better graphics. Something for the newer generations to sink their teeth into at least. P.S: Raziel is seen with spectral wings, it surely means something... ALSO: As of Wed. Sept.25.2024 Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Returns in the All-New Official Prequel Graphic Novel: The Dead Shall Rise where the Kickstarter campaign reached an amount of $1,365,472 pledged of a $25,000 goal so far. The lore is expanding and exposure is growing. Deadhaus Sonata is also a thing, hopefully they reach their ambitious goals. It looks deep, dark and great. So finally the franchise gets some new life breathed back into it after -20- years. It needs to take flight and be witnessed as the legendary piece of art it truly is ⚔️🦇🩸💀🌀👻♾️
Sadly, we're only getting a remaster. Not a remake. As someone commented above, just imagine the game running in Unreal Engine 5. I'll take what we're getting for now, waited 20 years already. Hopefully future installments will look as good as it could.

Surely we all know by now to vote with our wallets, with world finances looking the way they are, it would be foolish not to know what the product is before you buy. This had such an impact on me. My 1st born son is named Raziel. Great comp. Many thanks for this nostalgia trip to Nosgoth. Played this back when it 1st came out.
Most video compilations ive seen skip the memory scenes so I had no idea what I had missed. Ariel purifying the Reaver, Raziel getting the fire Reaver Upgrade in Janos' lookout. They put a lot of thought into this.
I still cannot think of any reason as to why the soul reaver is incapacitated by the staff Mobius is holding, when raziel comes out of the portal.. The sword is basically the soul... there are so many holes in the story..
It's the first bit of foreshadowing in regards to just whose soul was in the Soul Reaver. Mobius's anti-vampire staff stops the Soul Reaver because it's the soul of a vampire.
That ending is just chilling. The way the truth just unravels bit by bit. It hits you hard, and you are just not ready for it. That last line was delivered perfectly. Excellent storytelling and voice acting.
Is there a game today that even comes close in terms of story and atmo? I still remember the first time Raziel enters the Sanctuary of the Clans Building after centuries have past. And later at Part 2 or 3 where he realised who he was and fought his own self! Not even in movies that story. "...and we all now one step closer....to our destinies"
Amazing to see those voids at the end of the game with Raziel striking down Ariel and wielding the flaming reaver were cut content from the final game, since the developers didn't have time to implement those ideas. It served as a nice "What if" within the game.
