THE BURBANK CHANNEL is the government access channel for the City of Burbank. Although it is seen, via cable, only in Burbank & Glendale, a LIVE STREAM of THE BURBANK CHANNEL is available 24/7, wherever anyone can connect to the Internet...around the world.
Now if only all government meetings were so brief and without spite and division like this one. Well done Burbank! Press on. You have found the political elixir America needs and can learn from.
ONE nation under God. E pluribus unum. Kneel before God and NO MAN! United We Stand Dived We Fall. And Justice for ALL. Judge a person by the content of their character, not the colour of their skin. What the heck happened that in two weeks so many Americans have rejected all of this? The Fourth of July is near, and it would be nice if America got off its freaking knees and stood up to rioters, looters and murderers again and recognized this country is the one more people want to come to and live in than any other in the world. That would not be true if all the despicable things being said about our land were true. But if we collapse over lies about "systemic racism", then our generation was by far the weakest the country has ever seen. And trust me, as one who knows many government systems, yes, the system has a many tiered standard for its people and top of the list of Affirmative action and Grade Inflation as well as the lowest standard for the SAT are all for one group and all created by the same ideological group. It's Blue states and Cities that are coming under fire by Blue people who can't seem to see they voted for these "systems" and many pay their union dues that feed those systems. You want systemic racism to stop, then you will have to let go of all the double and multiple standards that let the unqualified rise above those who earned far more, instead of having it given to them by government. God Bless America, and God Bless Those Who Fight For Her Honour and Liberty!
This entire council's response to the BLM movement as well as the response to the public callers' inquiries and concerns is a joke. More police commission meetings will not solve the problem. Acting like the problem is only a national issue and that Burbank shouldn't have a spotlight on it singularly by its own residents will not solve the problem. You did not address the concerns over the BPD budget and the possibility of reallocation of those funds to community services that will actually assist Burbank's citizens of color. PLEASE do not just read canned statements about how you "agree" that black lives matter. Take action that actually supports that contention.
That is astroturf money well spent on the right epidemic. -- Thank god tobacco-flavored liquids now become more prevalent, so those poor children can get reaccustomed and reverse the dreadful decline in teen smoking.
