Think it’s actually been pretty solid against everything except yellow. Won locals Friday going 4-0(beat 2 black luffy, by ace, purple luffy) I play a lot of the whitebeard stuff. Instead of the izo I play the extra card blue searcher, and I run 4 ultis to search top 3, and the 2 cost fire fist instead of 3 cost so I can kill 9k bodies. Deck has been pretty solid and my favorite deck of the set

I've been playing a bunch lately and I've made some changes but I haven't added him back yet. I'm looking for impactful bigs that's still allow me to go wide the turn after that's why I like big mom right now. But I've even just added 8c uta and it worked the first game I tried it great but I'm too tired to keep testing it tonight lol
@tomaskostrasil7322 this deck can go first or second in my opinion. There's a few fancy plays you can do when you ramp going second however I would prioritize taking whatever ever your opponent wants to throw them off. For example take first from doffy and take second from black beard.
So not really. I've found on my 7 don turn I'm either going wide with Luffy taro, applying pressure with sanji who can pretty much pop any 4cost by turning them sideways and swinging over, OR messin with their don curve with magellan. I can say until op09 I'm sure he still has a place in the deck. The card I made space for was magellan cause it really helps to throw shanks off his curve etc.

One thing I've noticed is that you've been dropping a character, then going for the swings (16:39 for example). Wouldn't the other way around be better? Make it less obvious what you're thinking

@@3PieceTCG i was always a black player, but leaning more and more towards purple. I‘ll try out all the purple Luffys, Purple Kaido, and also give Smoker a go. Lots of people seem to underestimate him. With that said I am not entirely sold on Blackbeard yet, but maybe give him a chance when he‘s out in the West 😎

I’m not one to play “best in meta” type decks ever so out of the 3 luffy decks purple, r/p, or b/p would you think is gonna be the most competitive with the amount of shanks, BB and doffy running around? I guess the most consistent one for those match ups
@ddub6137 I'll tell you what after running all 3 against the meta I'd have to say it's lookin like this. 1) purple luffy 2) BP Luffy 3) rp luffy I think you're giving me a good idea for a video to go over these 3 and kinda discern their strengths and weaknesses sob players can understand which one is for them. @@3PieceTCG obviously I’ll enjoy em lol been playing all 3 after your videos and genuinely R/P is so satisfying with all the big bodies and consistent pressure and if a goldy drops it’s one of the best feelings winning off him. I’ve had a lot success going into shanks/BB but wide board swingers like doffy can cause some issues if you brick on counter
@ddub6137 rp Luffy is arguably the most satisfying but also the most volatile of the 3. It can feel a lil feast or famine at times but when you can ramp into 8 on curve and drop that Rayleigh on'em somebody's getting popped and somebody's gonna have ta sit the turn out lol

My man!!!! I think you might be the first person to solve BP Luffy in the 09 meta!!! When I was playing the deck, I realized that my 6 don turn (5+1 turn going first) was always very weak as its usually just Franky and swing 8k with leader, since you cant really play 3c Zoro tgt with Franky, unless you are willing to forego the draw, which is suboptimal. It was so bad I even decided to try using 6c 8k black Zoro lol. But!!! Your idea of running 4c Zorojuro is GENIUS! It makes the 3rd turn so much more powerful as your are able to swarm with 3c Zoro and 4c Zorojuro. It being a 6k body for 4 is also super important against RP Luffy, Doffy and Shanks. Being able to swarm makes the matchup against Doffy and Blackbeard so much better. And you will never really run out of gas when you play Moria and bring back Franky or Zorojuro! You are the first person I see using 4c Zorojuro in the Moria variants. Sometimes I feel like I am the one playing Doffy with how fast the deck swarms lol. Initially I didn't really like 3c Zorojuro due to the fact that your opponent can play around him by not attacking your leader. But as I played more with the deck, I realized one of the biggest weakness of BP Luffy is that he only has 4hp. 3c Zorojuro deters your opponent from bringing you low too early, while also punishes them if they do hit you, because getting an active don makes your next turn swarming very scary. I was running Pudding previously but now I believe 3c Zorojuro is the better option. A few things I would tweak the deck a little tho. In Asia, RP Luffy, Shanks, Doffy and Blackbeard are the most popular decks. Especially RP Luffy, which BP Luffy may have some issues dealing with due to their 6k leader and their ability to churn out Kid, 9c Whitebeard, 9c Luffy and Shanks/Roger . It is for that reason, many BP Luffy are running Stussy, which I feel is a great card in the deck. It is also very good against control Shanks because you can easily take out their 10c cards with the 2c bodies you bring back from Moria, or just simply the Laws you played in the early game. Another card I would add to drastically improve the Doffy matchup is 5c black Sanji. Doffy is probably the hardest match up for BP Luffy and Sanji makes it much better, especially on the 9 or 10 don turns, where you can play a blocker and play 5c Sanji to take out their Boa etc. The ratios for the 0 counter cards will definitely need to be tweaked tho but I feel like this is the right direction. I am very confident in the deck now on how it feels like a toolbox deck that can deal with any decks right now and I will probably bring it to a Flagship. Thank you so much!!!

I was also against zorojuro at first as well but after the bans he just is a lot more likely to stick than before. Then give you the ramp and act as a pseudo blocker since he gets aggro. Also YES! 5c Sanji sounds like a great addition! I've also been experimenting with more animal Kingdom as well! Let me know what you think of you have time to try it out. I feel there's still more to go but this has definitely been my favorite deck to experiment with. Also I'm gonna give the Stussy a try too and see what I think! I'm loving the exchange of ideas! This is why I started the channel!

@@ritik3101 I feel ya but I really enjoy hearing the different ethnicities of the characters represented by the English dub actors. I still switch everytime there's a character I haven't heard in Japanese to hear their original take on the character but yeah I think I also have just a splash of dyslexia which can make it hard to read while I'm just chillin.
@@3PieceTCG english dub is good but not better than japanes if u watch in japanese than u can feel or connect more to character and some point english dub are not good i am only giving u my advise from my own experience , further as you wish Dub can make an anime good or bad
@ritik3101 I absolutely feel that. However, immediately recognizing the gohan, piccolo, and frieza voice in the early episodes made me feel nostalgic and connected to the characters. Also, being Half Mexican and White, I can adore and appreciate the culture. However, I'm not inherently connected to the original voices. They dub so that there is less of a barrier between various audiences, and I believe that all artists that give their genuine best to this awesome anime deserve to be recognized and enjoyed.
Lucci actually could have a won on the following turn 1. Atk kuzan into law -4 to Paulie 2. Atk with lucci character at life either take life or counter out 3. Swing 7k with leader -1 on paulie you have to take life so either your 1 life 3 cards in hand or no life 5 cards I hand 4. Play gecko and played Rebecca and spandam from its effect and have one play over the lucci 5. Use spandam effect but let’s say you wiff 6. Add a 2k counter from trash with Rebecca effect and play spandine from hand and use it effect to play lucci rested from trash to pop paulie Now they have a blocker and 4k worth of counter in hand and the only out you have is drawing 9 drop kaido but knowing what we know now you don’t have it and lucci take the game on the following turn
That's a great observation and I appreciate you taking the time to articulate your perspective on how that could have gone. I realize after watching it back I made a point to mention he didn't have a lucci in trash but didn't go in to detail why that would matter if he could just play over the lucci in the field. In my experience as a black yellow Luffy player, when I play out gecko the sim doesn't allow me to add cards from the trash that I just played over. Because the cards being played over don't resolve until after gecko Morias on play ability so they're technically not present in the trash yet. In which case he could play gecko to bring out a blocker and 2k counter plus what they can find with Spandam (which we know the top card is knull), rebecca would be dispatched by paulie effect, then I swing 7 twice for game. Or they do the same thing but instead of using paulies effect I swing 10 and 11k for game. I also had a big mom next which could be another world of possibilities. So it could still go either way but it would definitely have to be a Heart of the cards situation for him lol. Again great take! That's why I create and share content, I love the convos and insight! Yes but your also not adding cards that your playing over for gecko effect. 1.gecko effect resolves after playing Rebecca and playing spandam over lucci 2.use spandam(whiff) 3.use Rebecca to add 2k then play spandine from hand over rested spandam and use effect to play lucci from trash to pop paulie Also they had Brook on top of the deck so he still could have whiffed on the spandam seach But also looking back if he went for game with what’s on board he could have just went 7k 4 time for game too but that would have been a big gamble

I literally tore the internet up looking for a pic of Luffy holding up 3 fingers so I could use it for my logo. I finally found one but had no idea where in the story it can from. Then as soon as I see him in this outfit i knew it was coming! I just didn't think it would be *spoilers At the end of the arc! Lol😅😅😅

Hey great question idk how I missed it! I think I'd say it could comfortably go into the "they won with what?" Tier just because this is a slower meta right now and if it sees the right matchups with the right build it's definitely doin something. But then again that could just be me coping since I want the deck to work!😅😅😅
@eynlanzer BROOO EXACTLY! I did order a playset of the lin/kaido card (for 09 luffy shenanigans) but I'm really feeling like it's just too slow for what we're up against right now. I think another video is order to show off how consistent a more optimized build can be.
@@3PieceTCG I hear you! I think lin/kaido is only good for BP King atm, since you can pair it with Sabo's effect and clear only your opponent's board. Looking forward to the v2 of the deck ^^
