My name is Wayne, an American artist, hat maker and crafter living in Germany. Here on my “renewed” channel I enjoy celebrating the beauty of making things by hand.
Whether you're a seasoned artist… passionate DIY enthusiast.. or just love all things creative…I hope to share ideas that will spark the imagination.
Currently, I am working on all new videos, which I will release 2x monthly. It takes time to create the magic….so I hope that you don’t mind the wait.
If you have questions about my projects, please feel free to leave a comment and I will get back to you!
wow.....just wow. love it. thats an awesome tutorial. i can see every measurement, every little thing that needed to be done in an easy to watch and understand speed. its gorgeous. i can wait to try it. i love working with scrapbook paper back in the day so i have a lot of it to use up! i love the way you decorated it and staged it. just gorgeous. i would like to know where to buy a door like you had. i love the weights and the the things you made to help hold it together. not only all of that but what fun it is to look and see all the cool things you have in your room. aside from the fact its so perfectly appointed, that manequin behind you, whats its story? and then the head and the hand so perfectly placed. every detail you pay attention to is wonderful. and the little pot fairy i have always loved. well done! i cant wait to see more. a little tree house perhaps? a chest full of tinker fairy treasures we all know they love all the little shinies and cool things they find. so many choices. i love it all. cant wait for more :) laura
Hey lady! All wonderful suggestions. Thank you for sharing them. I’m thrilled that your able to take so much information from the video. That’s very important and your feed back is super important 💚💙. This door I ordered on Amazon. I painted over ( it was original red) but look for doll house doors….also, there are online dollhouse shops you can buy them from…better selection and tons of accessories to go with! I usually buy them from a company in Spain but there are some in England and the States too. As a hat maker, and I make my videos in my studio, behind me are my “models” that I photograph my work on. I was gifted the wooden hand, I used a scrap piece of poster board to make an arm, so Ms. Suzie could pose very pretty like 🤣. Yes, they do love shining things. Recently, I bought some shiny cords to use on my hats….now I can’t find it…I’ve looked everywhere. Even thought I was going crazy! Then I realized….ahhhh they must have stashed it away. Sure would like to know where….I really need that cord 🧚♂️✨🧚♂️ Glad you loved the tutorial. This one has so many possibilities 🦋 thanks again for the suggestions.
What do you think of scrapbooking paper? I found it really fun to work with. If your interested in seeing more projects using it, please like this comment or drop some suggestions for future projects below 🧚♂️🍄🧚♂️.
I LOVE your lady with the Beret 💖 how did you make her? Love the house/door/nook. What was for dinner? I really needed this today, I have been really unwell for a week or so and feeling more 'faerie like' or 'hoomon'? and this gave me that little bit more joy energy. Thank you. When I get caught up on my 'to get done' projects I will go back over and get a few of yours done, then work out where they can reside in our home 😂
Oh my dear, I’m sorry to hear that you’re unwell. I’m sprinkling a bit of fairy dust on you in hopes that you, at least, find some magic this weekend…..treat yourself! You deserve that. My hat model, I bought her online a few years ago…she’s made of foam… I Just covered her over with some pink twill. I really need to give her a proper name, don’t you think? Really need to find create a shrinking potion…this way we can explore all these doors together 🧚♂️🍄🧚♂️
I am feeling better today thank you I just need to remember to not go full on and blow my energy reserves 🤣 What would I search for to find one like her? Says one who still has not gotten her rescued Witch a properly made outfit as yet *rolls eyes* Oh, and Suzie - her name - Suzie with a 'z' and not an 's' since I got my knuckles slightly wrapped for about to write her name with an 's' 😂 Oh that would be fun going into all those little nooks and crannies in the house that might well hold treasured times behind them.
@silverpromidi I forgot, it was coconut curry for dinner! The fairy ordered it and I had to pay 😱. Tricky little one. What did a search for? I think “Display Head for hat’s “. There are so many to choose from but Ms. Suzie was the most affordable. I use Suzie to display my hat for my Etsy shop. If I find the link, I’ll send it…but start on Etsy, I believe there is a seller there too.

I wasn’t always that way….total chaos 🤭. I used to work out of my kitchen soooooo to prevent getting paint into my pasta 🍝 I had to clean up my act and I just kinda stuck with it. Thanks for stopping by and showing your support! Means a ton to me 🧚♂️🍄🧚♂️
Thank you for being here, it means so much 🧚♂️ that you enjoyed this video and that you picked up some new tips. Hope you have a magical time crafting 🦋
Thank you for writing that 🦋. This video and project is very special to me. I created it for my “future self” this way I never forget how special Truman is to my life and that he’ll always inspire me. Welcome to Faeriehood, it’s such a pleasure to have you here. I do hope that you take away some inspirations for yourself and wishing you a magical time crafting 🧚♂️🍄🧚♂️.
Tus palabras son maravillosas. Muchas gracias por escribirme. Me conmueve. Gracias por ser parte de mi canal. Tu amabilidad lo es todo para mí. 👑🩷👑🩷👑🩷👑
ok, my eyes were watering 😢when you showed Truman as you were painting him, by the end of the 'Prince and the Pea', they were watering a heck of a lot more 😭 I feel part of your pain Wayne, I have had so many fur babies cross the bridge over the years. Would you be able to have a material list written somewhere so I can write them down? Thanks. Kerry.
Hello Kerry! I didn’t mean to make you tear up but that fact that you did tells me how deep you cared about your little ones. He was/is the Prince of my heart ♥️ ….but I think you might have guessed that. Thank you for reminding me about the material list 🤦♂️. I’m working on a new video and completely forgot. I used: Craft grey board/ you can use a sturdy cardboard too White poster board 4 wooden skewers 4 beads Acrylic craft paint PVA glue Varies fabrics The bottom & top mattress are yellow kitchen sponges, the rectangular kind, I just cut the green part off. I based the measurements of the bed on these sponges. Hope that helps! Always lovely to hear from you. Sending you my best 😘
I hope that was “happy” strings 🧚. Editing this one was more difficult than I thought it would. That’s why, at the end, I wanted to create a bit of magic for Truman…he gave so much of it to me. Thank you for taking time to watch, you being here means so much 🎉
Oh My Goodness <3 Truman's Bed is Heavenly <3 My Dog Phoenix sleeps the same exact way <3 She has her own pillow and blanket. You Sir, are a Great Orator. Blessings <3
Thank you! I couldn’t be happier knowing you enjoyed the video. Our lovely kiddos do have their magic about them, don’t they? For me it calms my soul to watch them sleep, that’s why Truman’s new bed sits on the fireplace so I can always watch him enjoy his bed. It was a big part of his life. BIG hugs to Phoenix, please give her a snuggle from me ❤
Hope you enjoy the new Truman’s video! I am very excited to share this very special project with you as it has such a special place in my heart and an honored place in my home. If you like the video, please give it a thumbs up 👍 as this helps me to grow my small channel. If you haven’t subscribed, it would mean so much if you do. I love sharing my ideas ❤. Drop a comment below if there are any questions I can answer or if you want to share any feedback with me. It’s such a pleasure to hear from you 🧚 Cheers, Wayne
Thanks for sharing another great DIY project. I love fairies very houses and whimsical displays. Thanks so much for sharing another great video with us.
It is a pleasure to have you here! I’ve seen your charming fairy gardens. Such a delight and so much whimsy….I’ve enjoyed your videos very much. Your fairies will certainly have a blast this summer. Thank you for keeping the magic alive. 🧚
Now I have to watch this again later when I am awake. I slept poorly last night and listening to that music box type music the eyes got heavy and closed. Thank you. I am going to order that book soon. You get pretty cool birthday gifts. I have seen a few youtubers who do eco-dying using mushroom for dye.
That’s from the fairies 🧚♂️ putting dew drops in your eyes 🤭. They must have kept you very busy in your dreams. Thanks for sharing the tips on the dyes. I love trying new things and that’s going on my list 💙
Those dew drops are powerful drops lol 4 hours later I surfaced. I came away with an interpretation of a dream - well part of one - that even if something is difficult to do and I might be a bit wobbly and unsure doing it, I CAN achieve what I set out to do.
@silverpromidi Those fairies can be rascals 🤭. So amazing that you came away with inspiration….my dreams leave me super confused 🫤 and puzzled most of the time. I’ve given up trying to analyze them 😆
😅 oh sometimes I am as confuzzled as they come. Today I made progress though. I have nearly finished my first ever Primitive Doll. Lots of them on here. The one I made is from Farmhouse -BC actually quite proud of myself lol
@silverpromidi Oh you have been very busy! Isn’t such a great feeling when you make something special and you feel proud of what you made 🥰 Bravo to you!
Look for Cohana button weights. They are made buy a Japanese haberdashery company. If your in the States, try the Brooklyn Haberdashery. They did carry them in a variety of finishes. Pricey they are… but a solid investment, imo. Thanks for subbing to my channel, I truly appreciate your support and for being here 🧚
@annachioffe6454 Look up Cohana, you’ll find them in a variety of color/ finishes. Theses ones are solid brass. I absolutely love them….wish I would have bought more! 🧚♀️
Very nice. All of it. Lovely to experience. And an inspiring helpful tutorial. I live in a remote area and not sure I can access the materials, but I want to try. Thank you
Thank you for being here! I greatly appreciate your support and glad that you are inspired. You can use any firm cardboard, cereal boxes, scrap fabric, etc you have. I just happened to have these materials on hand, that’s why I used them. Happy crafting! 🧚♀️🧚🧚♂️
Thank you for being here 🩷 I’m glad you found some inspiration in making your own. Take your time and enjoy the creative process, that’s half the fun. Best wishes 😘
