I’m Mary, a 24 year old homemaker living in Chicago. I am so into establishing a healthy mind, body, and spirit connection. Can’t wait to bring you all along on my adventures and hope to inspire you to be your most radiant self and live your most abundant life!
Mary, congratulations on your new home!! So exciting! I feel like a peachy toned low-pile area rug under you bed layered over the grey rug would be beautiful! The minimalism and styling thus far is lovely!
Love the new digs. Btw the fiddlehead - I heard they’re really fickle like even if you get the lighting or watering right they sometimes still succumb to issues like nutrient imbalance in the soil. Is there anything special that you do?
@@Ethereal700 thank you!! Nope, tbh I think I just got lucky with this one. I water once a week and if there are any sad looking or dead leaves, I make sure to snip them immediately!
Just wanted to say I’ve been watching your vlogs and listening to the pod for a few months now and I absolutely love your content! It truly is so refreshing in this day and age. Thank you for being so open and sharing your beautiful life with us! ❤
Congrats on your new soon to be home!! I can’t wait for all the content in a new environment. And I feel like you are gana thrive even more! Kinda mew follower and love all your content and how unedited you are. ❤
Congratulations on your new place, I am so excited to hear more about it! I recently moved from a large apartment building to a more neighborhoody spot and it was a fantastic change.
how do you and blake deal with the stigma of going to state school? I went to a big 10 school too but i feel like a lot of people I meet / jobs I want are full of people that went to top schools. I know you are both not driven by making money / having fancy jobs but want to know your thoughts
@@LopaWilliams we are both actually very driven by that! For us, the fact that we both work with people who have the credentials (Harvard or Wharton, anything like that) and we didn’t have to get them to be in the same place is them is pretty spectacular rather than an area of insecurity!
this might sund weird but i need like your basic tips and tricks to cooking LOL like how do you make simple good chicken hahah I am so bad but you inspire me!
Also grappling with aging…always feels hard to deal with. I try to ignore it but I feel like that just makes me avoid coming to reality. There are days I also feel like a kid, and am always so nostalgic when I visit my hometown 😢 sending you love!!
What we feed grows ! Loved that point of view!! Like my yoga teacher said “we need to just let go and accept it” it is hard but true. Like i do not want to feed “bad” things with my energy // your local swede ☺️💙💙
I wanted to encourage you to follow your dreams of being a bee keeper with a garden even in the city if you’re not ready to move out just yet. Lots of people including myself have small city gardens. Some of My neighbors in my neighborhood have bees so definitely doable without a suburb. A lot of people in my neighborhood have removed their lawns to put in all native flowers which is good for the bees and birds. But yeah I love having a garden and I don’t have to buy anything other than fruits from the store
@@MaryMondanaro sorry i meant to clarify that this is very doable with houses not apartments. i live in a more residential neighborhood in an urban city so i meant to say that my neighbors and i have gardens in our backyards. i think you could find a similar situation in the more residential areas in chicago. another perk of living in an urban neighborhood is that many are against using herbicides/weed killers and plant native flowers so your bees will have a lot to pollinate from in the neighborhood. i also like the fact that we dont' have an HOA and nobody cares if we remove our front lawn and put natives in it haha. i hope you get to have a garden and bees soon
Ok I'm so glad you included consistency as a way to live beautifully - I think it is so graceful to be consistent in one's routines, habits, and even behaviours such that she is true to herself!! So simple but not easy. Also what do you have for non-stick? I exclusively cook with stainless and staub cast iron but thought about getting a Greenpan for eggs - don't always love using stainless.
@@lindsaynelson8760 well said my girl - I couldn’t agree more! I have All Clad for nonstick and pretty strictly use it for eggs… not non-toxic at all but… it works 😆
Mary💔! This was a wonderful vlogg. Your honesty, passion and positivity is what attracted me to you first. You kind of remind me of myself at 25 ❤ 😢 Don’t listen to the energy zappers. They only want a piece of what you have but probably will never come close. X
I would love to see all of your favorite kitchen pieces you mentioned you already have that are typically on a registry. Things like dinnerware, Le Creuset dutch ovens, and mixers. I think it is so nice that you already have those pieces and your registry can be more meaningful and curated.
