It's ridiculous that you can't hear the difference between a phone and AK4499. Someone who makes that claim has obviously regressed hearing capabilities.
@@PerputuallyCensored Not sure who you try to convince here because measurements say otherwise. 1. there are objectively differences between chips, 2. you claim you can't here them; so you can't hear very well. Not even going to the R2R craziness.n
so glad I watched this! I was always annoyed when clicking on an artist I would get a list of every track rather than albums. I had no idea you could click a button to switch between albums and tracks! Thanks for showing that option!
Wow! I have the Doscincos, and Cincotres! They are different, but both quite excellent. Climbing the endgame ladder, I just ordered Hisenior Mega5 EST. Anyone can just get one of the Ziigaat IEMs and be happy. The Doscinco, no doubt it is really good. The bass is amazing.
Sound differences, not so much. Noise floor differences with super sensitive IEMs? Very obvious, but more expensive DAPs aren't necessarily better. A lot of DAPs will cheat by muting the output while playback is paused, but you can hear it on quiet portions of tracks, or the tail end of a fade out and its very annoying. I haven't found any DAPs that are silent like my desktop gear, but most of my IEMs aren't insanely sensitive so its not a huge priority.
I use LG V30 which is also fitted with quad DAC merely a DAP. I turn on its flight mood whenever I play and enjoy it's music which I downloaded from Apple Music. It gives a cleaner sound with no interference when playing music with the flight mood turned on.
Hey mate, thanks for the comparison! It was very good and informative. Have you considered making a review of the Sony DAPs with CFW installed? The A55 specially get even better with CFW which makes it even more compelling as a "budget" option for the price you can find them this days.
Hello everyone I got it to work - you need to reset the app while headphones are plugged in clink use internal dac!!!!! It works!!!! Make sure you select bit-perfect on the settings!!!!!!
I remember when I bought the R3 Pro, then the R3 Pro Sabre and then the 2022 or whatever edition. I did all that in the chase of better UI experience, better polished device with each iteration but all I got was a buggy system, devices crashing on me when skipping tracks, numerous patches via official/unofficial firmwares and so on and so forth. I got to a point, where I wouldn't even use the device in fear of it crashing on me once again during a listening session. To some, this might mean nothing, but to me - whenever I have the time - I want to ENJOY the music, forget about the device I'm using and just have fun. If a device made solely for playing music stops me from enjoying my music, then by all means I consider it a fail. I went with Shanling M0 Pro and - naturally - I hear no change in the sound but it plays my music and is so light and handy that I listen to my music even more often than before. Cheers
4.4 is more robust (and bulkier). Output impedance is higher as well compared to the 3.5 so to me 4.4 is just more power and that is it. If you use iems, 100mW is more than enough to drive them to hear damaging levels. Louder isn't better. Balanced isn't better. It's bigger, drives a bit more power and is essentially more robust given the size. That's it.
With regards to Iem's ,my most expensive are 7hz timeless and Letshuoer s12. I dont think i need to buy anymore, and im happy about that .I have lots of very budget Iem's, and they also sound great. Not as good as the 7hz, but perfectly good enough and i could happily live with them to.Paying over a grand for in ears is fooking mental .
@@hixyhicks I am fairly pleased with Hiby300, just received ($150 on Prime sale). Great BT sound (incl. LDAC) with my TWS IEMs and headphones. Wired isnt bad either unless trying to push big headphones. Still love my LG V60, but its audibly better than note9 (which i also have). Soundwise, not as good as my old ibasso dx160 (but battery died in it, and still like having a separate DAP!)
I use LG V30 sorely as DAP. I download songs from Apple Music for my favourite play lists. Whenever I play music from LG V30 as DAP, I turn on its flight mood to have a much clearer sound without any interference. In addition to better sound, it save power too allowing you to enjoy much longer play time.
One Word: Diversification. In this hobby, people like to enclose themselves on 1 specific form factor and kept on buying up for marginal to miniscule upgrade. I bought a Swan OS10 2 years ago and it shook me, it sound as good, as 3 of my kilobuck headphones. After that I stopped buying any iems or headphones for 1+ years. If you're actually an audiophile, try different gears, don't lock yourself up on iem/headphones/ speakers form factors. I spent some cash and upgrading the Swan to KEF LXS+ Polk 10"Sub. sold some cans and IEMs to pay for it. Also bought some portable speakers, heck even neck speakers 😂. In the end, having different medium actually give me way more enjoyment, way different experience for each listening, wherever and whenever I am. Now I care more for gears that enable more use case like Bluetooth and TWS Dongle than chasing DAP or Dac/Amps.
Just wanted to point out that when you're talking about noise floor you can't really assess this without music playing. Some of these devices mute/disconnect the headphone output completely when no signal is being played. You cant hear hiss because the output is disabled. Reason why sony hisses is that it apparently doesn't mute the headphone out.
Sorry to have heard what happened to you with this ebay sale man. I hope you would recover emotionally. Cheers, man. I like your style and wish you many happy hours enjoying music with excellent gear you have and are happy with. Cheers, man! 😁
Bro, I am so sad to hear about your experience. I went through a similar unfortunate moment. The courier company does come with a shady track record for certain items being taken (I concur with your take that your item was targeted). Like appreciate the way you have handled this experience, as your mental health is far more important than money or things. Hopefully the company that may collaborate with you I will be looking out for your review. Peace and love
I thought you had sold one of your Ziigaats? Well, hope to see you make a couple of more reviews if you guys come to an agreement. I always enjoy your videos and perspective on this crazy hobby. I just want to see how long you can hold off before buying something else, I know i can't!!! Thanks again for all your hard work.
