Hi! Peach Slices is in fact cruelty free and is a brand that is Leaping Bunny certified. Here is the link for more information: www.leapingbunny.org/brand/peach-slices Hope that helps! 🫶🏼
@@MinimallyAnnabel I guess it depends on how you view invertebrates. Leaping Bunny might approve, but personally, I won't use snail based products due to the collection process from the snails. It's a stomach-turning process, to me. I really to reiterate this is my personal opinion, but I thought you'd want to know. Pardon me if this comment is unwarranted
Understand your point of view. I am not vegan but I try my best to avoid products that are tested on animals. I don’t believe that Peach Slices’ practices are harmful, in my opinion. Here is a link of their process: www.peachandlily.com/blogs/news/51230725-reasons-we-love-snail-mucin
@@thatgirlrandi727Peach slices processes snail mucin by letting them walk on tiny grates - harmless. They also don't spend their whole life doing that. Dont know how that's stomach turning bro.
My bag arrived and it’s lovely in the cappuccino colour! Thanks again for the video, it was super helpful, I have a trip home to England coming up and I’m excited to try it as my carry on for now it’s my everyday 🩵
Hi Karen! I think the shoulders pads that are sold separately are the ones that already come with my laptop Kånken, as I haven’t seen anything else! So sadly, I won’t be able to make them more comfortable, but thank you for the suggestion! 🫶🏼
Hi! 100% agree! It is a shame though if you like the style of a backpack and it isn’t as comfortable. For me weight is not an issue as I don’t pack heavily. Just comparing it to my Targus which is much more comfortable, I always will choose it over my Kånken. Thanks for the input! 🫶🏼
Hi! Thank you for the suggestion, but I have been using my nose strips for around 5 years and have no problems with them! I always moisten the strip before peeling it off. I also searched Intake breathing strips and the price is way too much for what it is ($39.99 for 15! Mine are 310 for $26.99), thanks also for watching! 🫶🏼
I admire the taking of Library books overseas - I can’t even bring myself to take them on a weekend away! I really like taking books from the charity shop or street library, so I can leave them when I finished them, or swap them for a new read.
Hi Annabel! You are so lucky to get to visit New York often. I just want to comment on how I love your style. It's so effortless, classic, yet modern and chic. Thank you for sharing yet another great video, and yes, please do showcase your handbag and wallet collection 😊
Hi Myra! Awh thank you so much for your lovely comment, it means a lot to have your support! I’m happy to know that you’re still enjoying my videos and I will do a handbag collection soon (even though it’s not much haha)! 🫶🏼
Hi Maeve! Thank you! And yes, I still use my Vardag pocket, I am actually planning on taking it with me to Crystal River this month. It’s a great bag for my more active, outdoor vacations and also to city vacations where I am happy to be very casual. So yes, still love it! 🫶🏼
Hi, Annabel! Toiletries can be a challenge! I like to consider not “Which (mini-sized) toiletries do I need?”, but “How much of these toiletries will I need to use?” Example, I wouldn’t need an entire travel sized eye cream since I’m only going to use a pea-sized amount for 3 days. So, I can put just a smidge of it in a tiny sample container & be good to go!
Hi 👋🏼 i love your packaging and minimalist style. Thanks for sharing. I’m also a book lover (the smell and feeling of holding a book is amazing!) but just would like to say that once you try an e-reader you won’t regret it. E-readers with e-ink screens are just like paper. No eye fatigue and honestly super lightweight and convenient unlike an ipad. Ask someone to borrow you one. Give it a try. You honestly won’t regret it. Sending a hug and keep up with One bag travels ❤
Hi! Thank you for the lovely comment! As for the e-reader I actually don’t know anyone that owns one to borrow! 😅 I also find it funny how a lot of viewers like to push this upon me, but I am truly happy with carrying a book. My iPad has other purposes I need for a trip so I would not swap out one for the other, meaning that I would have to carry both an e-reader and the iPad anyway, so I’d rather just have the book. Thank you again for watching! 🫶🏼
Hi Joselyn! I have considered a more expensive backpack with better “features”. But having a cheaper one means that I don’t have to be too precious with it. It goes on the floor on airplanes and in airports, so I don’t see the need to get something expensive. We will see how long this backpack lasts, I have been eyeing up a Tom Bihn but the price tag is hard to justify… 🫶🏼
Hi! Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately, I never weigh my bags but if it’s easy for me to carry I can guarantee it’s not going to be that heavy… 😅🫶🏼
Great video as always Annabel! Would also love to see the collection video you mentioned, I know you’ve been over them but would be fun to see still for someone like me who is trying to keep my collection small and intentional but it’s also tricky as you have to go through trial and error!
Hi Laura! Thank you! And I’ll try to make the collection video soon, I know keeping a small collection can be VERY tricky, I still struggle internally with bags (my 2nd weakness to skincare products) haha 🫶🏼
@@MinimallyAnnabel oh no hurry on that video, just saying it would be fun to see. And I certainly relate, bags for me was harder to pare down and still is as I used to be into designer bags a lot more than I am now and it’s harder to part with those. Shoes and jumpers were my other big category but my mindset has shifted a lot through minimalism.
@@MinimallyAnnabel thanks! I’m hoping it’s my staple everyday I’ve been searching for, I have a toddler so I have to be able to bring basics and then expand for him on some days 😂 I also try and do 1 in 1 out at least
What a pretty and classic handbag. Lovely packaging too. Another brand that I think you would like is called ' The Horse' (an Australian company). I discovered it from another RU-vidr (I think, 😆).
great video! it was helpful seeing you transfer your things from your smaller bag into it just to get a sense of how much more space was in there. Echoing what Laura commented below that an update after you've used it for some time would be nice to see how it's holding up! I think your unpacking video is one of my favorites just for some of the lessons learned/considerations in it
Hi! Great to hear from you again! 😊 I’m so glad you enjoyed this video too, I thought the bag deserved its very own unboxing and I’m excited to use it for my future travels! And yes, I will do an update on it after some time. I also prefer my packing/unpacking videos too haha more fun make and hopefully more interesting to watch 😅🫶🏼
Lovely bag thanks for the video! Would love an update review later! I’m the same way I try to sell before buying, I have a big LV I want to sell, where did you sell yours? I find it tough to navigate resell
Hi Laura! I’m glad you liked the video! I sold my LV Petit Noé on eBay (I always sell my bags there, both in the US and the UK), it does however take some time. I always make sure I use their authenticity guarantee service too and there is a commission that is deducted. Hope that helps! 🫶🏼
Hi Pippi! Thank you 😊 the watch is by Seiko, I think the style is called ‘Essentials’ here is the link on their website: seikousa.com/collections/essentials/products/swr054 🫶🏼
No, don't drink South East Asia tap water. The tap and pipes never been cleaned, the water tank rarely be cleaned, and you never know whats the water gone through. I live in Indonesia so trust me for this.
Thank you for sharing. It would be good to have the weight of the bag before and after it is packed as some airlines have both size and weight restriction.
Hi! Some people have asked for the weight, but honestly in all the travel I have done I have never been asked to weigh my backpack! I don’t have a device to weigh it but I’m pretty certain it is under 15lbs/7kgs (the usual weight restriction). Thanks for watching! 🫶🏼
Hi! It’s the Citizens Corso watch, I absolutely love it and it is Eco-Drive so it is powered by light. My wrists are really small and so I prefer daintier styles like this one. 🫶🏼 Here is the link: www.citizenwatch.com/us/en/product/FE1082-05A.html?cgid=womens-corso
@@MinimallyAnnabel I resolved the problem using a "organization bag". It's helpful when the bag don´t have structure (like tote bags). You can try with a small bag (like the black Kanken bag).
Hi! The internal capacity between the two is significantly different, 13L and 18L. Also in my next video I go down to one Kanken. Thanks for watching! 🫶🏼
Love it! I realized this size of the backpack is good for 3 days as well as a month, when doing laundry is possible. So light and freeing! Love your reduced toiletry + first aid
Hi Karen! Yes, this backpack is really great for short or long trips! And thank you, I feel much better with my reduced toiletries haha, it took some time to get there 😅🫶🏼
Someone below commented that "baggu makes a similar crescent bag in more sizes fyi", which I thought was brilliant. If anyone finds themselves trying to size-down out of pure desire to carry the smallest, least amount as possible, it can almost become pathological, haha! Just a friendly reminder that it's okay to purchase a bag slightly larger so you don't have to take your phone cover off of your phone, so you don't have to pull your passport and credit cards out of your back to get to things you need, etc. This isn't directed at "Minimally Annabel" but I've seen people become as obsessed with minimalism as they were with maximalism and at a certain point you're no better off. No matter what you choose, you should feel less encumbered, if that makes sense. Happy travels, all!
Hi Jessica! I always stress that minimalism isn’t about having nothing or carrying the least amount of things possible. I personally used this crescent bag as it was something I already had (as a minimalist I don’t purchase things unnecessarily) and I knew once I had eaten my snacks I would be left with a rather empty bag. I like the message that you’re sending here. I think it’s important that people do what’s best for them and RU-vidrs like myself are just here to share what we do, but by no means want people to think this is what they ‘should’ be doing as a minimalist. Minimalism is not black and white, it’s a lifestyle that’s supposed to help people focus on the things in life that are more meaningful than just things. I know it has helped me but not delusional to the fact that it is not for everyone. Thank you for your comment! 🫶🏼
@@MinimallyAnnabel This comment wasn't directed at you, as you know. I do hope it helps someone shift their perspective, or gives them a moment of pause, if they find themselves trying to cram too much into a tiny bag. It can be dangerous in many places to take your credit card/passport/money/phone out of your bag unnecessarily. I hope everyone is very gentle with themselves as they adjust to a level of minimalism that feeds their soul. My comment is for whoever it resonates with. I hope it helps someone!
