This is a video channel dedicated to chronicling the travel adventures of Jim and Michelle McRae as they travel around and explore the USA and Canada with their Coachmen Apex Nano travel trailer. The theme of the channel is "No Worries Rving" and we seek out any equipment, processes, information, ect that help make RVing fun and relaxing. We are a middle-aged couple that are interested in not only camping and exploring but also fishing, kayaking, photography, and hiking.
Thanks for this. Delightful to accompany you from afar! Be well in Christ Jesus, Chris Farrell, aka Legionnaire James Foster--deserter, but that's another story!
"Really ugly right now"... I LOVE IT! There is something so different about Alaska/Pacific NW rain and clouds that is better than the Midwest version. Maybe the lack of tornados? LOL
Having water, electric, AND sewer is pretty good for anyplace. Is Lands End Resort still there? Just listening to you walk across the lot brings back memories!
@@joshua803038 It was really nice because it goes low and you can see the wildlife and scenery. The plane is noisy because it’s a prop plane. The landing was really neat because of the floats hitting the water, It felt like water skiing.
Another great video full of information, hit all the questions I had thought about at the end! I loved watching the different ways the bears were "fishing".
Yay that you got your walking miles! You gave a lot of great information for visitors, I've never been to Sitka. I loved hearing the ravens in the background, and seeing how clear the stream water is. If someone has only grown up in the states, in an area that is not prone to such things, it is an amazing site! I often long for the clear and cold water I grew up with, now that I live in the Midwest. Thank you (again) for sharing your travels!
We used an electrical contact cleaner we found at Menards. Some brands advertise that they contain a "protectant" which may or may not be a thin dielectric grease. I used a cleaner that had such a "protectant". I think any electrical contact cleaner would work just fine. Sorry it took so long to respond. We are in Alaska and internet service has sometimes been difficult even with our Starlink.
We just visited Crunchy’s in Anchorage, it was fantastic. We had the Hawaiian Burger and the Big C with a milkshake. 👍👍👍 It will be include in a video at the end of September.
Hi, I'm assuming you had to make reservations ahead of time to get into the campground in Denali. If you did, how far in advance did you have to make them to get a spot? Also, is it possible to bike from the campground to areas in the park? I'm sure it may be a long way to get to places, but I will look it up. Thanks for the vids, Safe Travels.
We made reservations as soon as the national park open it. I think it was 5 -6 months before. We didn’t see anyone on bikes. If a bear or moose comes along you have to give them the road and you have to move off road 50 feet least.
So sad you have not been feeling well! Wow. That is a lot of rules. What is the reason behind not being able to leave once you are in there? Did anyone explain this rule? The moose sighting was incredible! - Michelle
@@airstreamer Yes, they explain the rules and ask that you have enough food for the three days. They don’t want private vehicle traffic past a certain point in the park. The road is just not made for it.
Also, the velvet on the reindeer antlers is like skin with a lot of blood vessels. It sheds and so they DO rub on things to get it off and you will see the hardened growing antler underneath with blood on it. It can be pretty disconcerting sometimes to see a moose or reindeer who has lots of stringy velvet "skin" hanging from their antlers. LOL
I love that the sights you are seeing on the cruise are an interactive part of the trip! Susan Butcher was very present in my years growing up in Anchorage with the Iditarod and the Fur Rendezvous (Fur Rondy) and I think this is such a unique way to share Alaska with those visiting. <3 (Putting it on my "to-do" list for my next visit to see the parents! lol)
I did this in 2022. It was definitely a venture. I left my trailer in Dawson City and still took me 5 days. 😆 I stayed in Eagle Plains and Inuvik both ways.
Hi, just curious if you plan to use your kayaks on this trip? I plan to head up there next year, I would like to take my Hobie fishing kayak but im not sure if it cn be used. Thanks for the ideos
@@getreel3515 Yes, we plan on using the kayaks here in Alaska. Unfortunately so far the three times we had planned on using them it either rained hard or we were sick with the virus.
We are a few years out for our trip. We have a class A so lots of dry camping. We are currently in the watching RU-vid phase for lots of ideas. When we find something we just drop a pin on google maps
I loved the Signpost Forrest! That's super neat. As for the time you spent waiting on the Klondike...best case scenario I would have all the fuel/propane/water/tank space to treat it like boondocking I suppose. I definitely would spend some time meeting the others stuck with me in that situation, "misery loves company," but otherwise I'd eat and sleep and do whatever I'd normally do if I was parked in one place at a campground. Love the Can-Can show.
Dall sheep! <3 Beautiful views and enjoying your travel vlogs. Isn't the water beautiful up north? Wild roses, my mom used to make rosehip jelly from the ones in our yard.
