This is cool. I have tried this in MSFS and XPlane with a bush-kit edition 172, and I wish they could simulate those mud puddles on the mud-strip runway like you had here. This one takes some cast iron cajones.

thats what a good heads up display and aoa will help with. speed and angle of attack for these critical approaches

Do you ever do a steeper approach, full flaps low power or is a shallow approach into this strip a “better” technique?

I'm the passenger, but I've made the Thomas Creek landing with buddy Bob approx 6 times, and every time he's come in shallow. I've been with him on other strips where he's come in hot, but not Thomas.
