Can you make a video of how to use the print and cut? I have trouble in using it the number 4 step which is cutting parameters can't continue. And I don't know how it works 😅
Unfortunately, I tested this out and they do not have this feature for slicing images. Definitely going to submit this function for future updates. I also use that a lot.
Ive been trying to get mine calibrate all day.. its like acts like it's cutting but I cant see or feel any lines and no matter I do with the print then cat, it tells me that no layers are selected to cut, after I selected everything
I’m a stained glass artist and I’ve been looking for a cutter to cut patterns I can place on glass. Does the Loklik require a subscription and can it be programmed to cut a specific width for the lines within a pattern? I know a Cricut can but I really don’t want a subscription and the price of the Cricut is too expensive. You make this look very simple to use and I’m technically challenged to a small degree😅. Thank you.
I'm not 100% knowledgeable about stained glass work, but if you are uploading svg cut files into loklik and need to change the shapes measurements or create your own, you definitely can. It has a pen tool feature similar to Adobe illustrator that cricut does not have. The only subscription it has is for like extended shapes & ai generator images. I've yet to put any info in, so I'm not sure when they will start charging people for that feature. Everything else, like their image library and basic features are free, which is great for the price.
Hi, Im like you I'm on my 10th print then cut calibration working on this on and off for over 3 days, and nothing is working. Ive been in many communications with Loklik in the middle of them they issued V0010 firmware update. They have also advised me the Calibration values do not have to be at zero. They are now on Chinese New Year holidays until 17th so I doubt I wont get any more information from them until after that. I was hoping I would have updated information for my followers too regarding the Loklik but sadly no. At the moment the Loklik is just my vinyl cutter and my ScanNCut is used for everything else.
I understand & I do remember seeing about the new year as well. At first, I didn't think the values mattered either, but on my last calibration, the cuts oddly enough were precise on "0". This was only after I reset my calibration on calibration #9, when I realized how far the cut was from the values. Try doing a reset on calibration?
@@OttysCreations I’ve had mine at 0000 and it still didn’t work that’s when Loklik told me the values don’t have to be on zero to work I’ve given up for now until they come back to me
@applelover53 I hope it works out for you. I think you may be able to get a replacement. The first one I had wouldn't calibrate either nor cut properly. Best of luck ❤️
I’m a beginner and I don’t know how to use the software. Just the bare basics. Videos like yours help me a lot plus you REPLY! 🥰💝💗🩵 Thank you! God bless you!! 🙏🏼
@@OttysCreationsThank you so much. Actually I do have a question. I imported an image but when I click the layers button, it doesn’t give me any layers, it just shows me the whole image. I haven’t done anything to it yet.,😢 after I clicked the ungrouo to Layers button but it didn’t work. 😞 I will absolutely appreciate any help you can provide me. God bless you 🙏🏼🥰
09:34 in is wow............. horrible! I have been working with scalpel and scissors for a lot of my cutting so this machine looked like it might help me work faster but that "accuracy" is horrible! Has it improved since this video?
I haven't tried it again, but I will soon. These things happen a lot with crafting machines. Loklik is still very new but so far I can say I have seen a few other crafters who have used the print and cut feature without any issues and they seem to be on track with fixing the issues as best as possible.
I'm newish to crafting and was excited to get the outhers brand but due to price I chose the loklik. It's ok for straight forward SVG uploading and cutting but loklik need to bring more Updates and feachers.
hello is this a more stable version than 1.9.5? i bought mine this december and already update to the latest but my firmware is stuck at v006 i tried too many of attempts to update but to no luck
Oh no! The only options to update are Help->Check for Software Updates & Help-> Firmware Updates. The firmware can be a little tricky because you have to hold down the power button & click update. Definitely try reinstalling and reach out to support if it doesn't work. They will be able to guide you better 💞
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I truly appreciate you doing this videos for us. YES PLEASE, continue doing more of these. I’m a newbie and this is my first machine. You are a life saver for me! Kind regards and blessings from El Paso Texas. 🥰🙏🏼💓
Thank you for this! I've been struggling to find guides and this was great. Do you know if we are able to curve the text in LokLik Studio? Like have it in an arch shape instead of a straight line?
I truly appreciate you doing these videos and hope you do more on this machine. Can you go over what the original, image matting, trace image and extract contours mean. I'm so confused about that when I upload an image. Thank you
Thank you for this! I cant find any tutorial on how to put htv, materials ,how to work with layers etc… this is my first craft machine ever so i dont know nothing about it…
You have a new sub here. Thank you so much for doing these videos on LokLik because I have been searching and haven't been able to find anything as good as this. I haven't used a cutting machine in almost 15 years so I'm starting from scratch again. Definitely looking forward to more of these types of videos.
I love it so far & can't wait for the imported images update to roll out. They have a user feedback option & I am happy they are hearing their consumers out with software issues, unlike other cutting machine companies. The print and cut area is flexible with your printer size, so that's super dope. So excited & can't wait to snag the other colors once they drop!
I like it, and I can't wait for more updates. I love how they have user feedback. It definitely makes me feel like my concerns are heard. Print & cut update should be rolling out soon for imported images, so I can't wait to update then.
Oh no! I should have more off time in a week to definitely get more videos up on some tutorials. I don't remember seeing option before BUT I will keep note to double check with the tech support. 💜😊
Oh no! So, from what I'm reading, this may be a software bug with their update on photoshops end. Try working zoomed in, then resize? If not updating may help.
How does this machine compare to the Cricut Maker ? I have the Maker and was thinking about getting this but if they are the same there’s no need.. Thanks 😊
I messed up my laptop around the time I got it, but from the tests I could run its so quiet and the cuts are nice. The software is more on the intermediate end, but overtime can be easy to use. It's still developing as I understand, and tbh I haven't messed around with it since my laptop had a funky update. Hoping to fix my laptop soon for more vids for side by side comparisons(I also have the maker). It's a great beginner crafter, and for the price, it's a great deal.
On their INDIEGOGO campaign, they do include a cutting mat. Please see their campaign page :) www.indiegogo.com/projects/loklik-crafter-cutting-machine-for-diy-beginners#/
You can upload files you already purchased. However you cannot upload ANY trademarked/copyright protected images! Cricut needs to put an end to that too! So many thieves out there thinking they can sell whatever they want.
Is this machine software downloaded and use directly to my computer? Or it is like Cricut I will need to sign in to their website to use it? What about my designs, can I save them in my computer hard drive or goes into my account with the company?
