Hi and welcome, I like my old RPG's and story driven titles. Game recommendations are welcome. Hope you enjoy your stay. Please leave a like, comment and subscribe if you would like to see more.
Let's see how my well my Trekkie memory is. Kirk says "takes us out. Janeway, Sisko and Picard always say "engage." Burnam says "let's fly." I think Archer also said engage but I am not sure.
This was SUCH A FANTASTIC show up until this point. Season 3 and beyond are just plainly upsetting garbage. They set this show up for such a grandiose future, just to end up with the most PEDESTRIAN take on it. I hope season 5 gives it the STAR TREK ending it deserves for at least being a part of the franchise. 🖖🏼
You know what, I've never got along with almost 90% of the left-minded ideas in this series (and I'll never do probably), but I liked the whole work so much, I can even watch it over and over again for eons, dreaming of a future where humans have reached the stars, met other life forms, and even formed alliances with them!, Just imagine if all the money spent on all wars in history was invested in scientific research, maybe Star Trek would've been the world we live in now! 🌌
@@igonovabord1342 yeah but the guy I replied to didn't say anything about black woman as a main character, he also said in Starfleet history. So it is you who nothing you said is remotely correct
A few some-what good episodes don't make a series. Star Trek: Discovery was a diversity, woke garbage show. With a political agenda so out of mainstream it lost huge number of viewers with each passing episode. It lasted 5 seasons only because CBS refused to cancel a failed show as it didn't want to prove yet again; Go Woke, Go Broke. What they did to Klingons alone made this show inexcusable trash. (and I'm just using family friendly language for how bad this all was)
@@vonmang3524 MF what are you yappin about? star trek has always been somewhat politically aware. Discovery is bad because of trash writers and retarded execs.
I thought this total trash at the time. Comparing this to the drastic increase in quality that came with strange new worlds, I haven't changed my opinion.
The issue was the Sphere data couldn't be removed from the ship and they ethically wanted to avoid destroying it because it was sentient. As long as the data remained in the past, the potential future would still exist and could continue to send agents back in time to insure a version of Control got the data. Moving the ship to the future instantly cut off the future timeline and insuring 23rd century Control was destroyed was extra insurance.
@@bluedotdinosaur They did try to destroy Discovery and therein the data, but it had control of the ship's systems and thus raised shields when the Enterprise fired torpedoes at it.
It wasn't cancelled. It did so well it singlehandedly propped up the entire streaming service and relaunched the franchise. The new ST shows are very expensive and only two full series can be in production at once. Getting five seasons in the modern streaming environment is an expected run for one show.
As much I adored the show for its first 2 seasons and hated the latter 2, this scene makes me fucking CRY. It's shot so beautifully and I wish the whole series followed suit. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ngl, I genuinely hope that Discovery manages to find a way back to their original timeline as sort of a breakoff timeline branch to the original timeline
The thing about this event is that it reconciles everything that has already happened in the first 2 seasons with everything we already know about the pre-TOS era - i.e. Pike in command of Enterprise. Spock is his science officer. The Spore Drive doesn't exist.
So top 3 scenes for me in Trek: 1. Enterprise escaping in Trek III 2. Burnham Taking Flight in this video 3. Battle Between Kirk and Khan in the Nebula from Trek II
