The FA cup used to be the day the country stood still for. If you were a neutral, you shouted for the underdog and it was a celebration all round!! This was of course before the premier league and the clubs didn’t want to play their best players for fear of injury etc. The FA sold its soul to the ‘Premier league’ I know the FA cup has been very much devalued now but if the FAs cynical ignorance and greed now has its was here, football is finished, the lower clubs will suffer so much.
I agree boycott it to get a reaction. I’m a Hertford Town season ticket holder and play for the inclusive team and this season at home games on average we get 289. It is important to have replays it would help non league clubs to get a bit more money and might get fans to support the local team rather then a premier league team that some clubs have ridiculous season ticket prices.
Agreed, this is pure greed and selfishness. No replies from round 3 would be bad enough, they moan about too much football, we’ll scrape the league cup!
Love the honesty and passion he shows each week. It is a real shame, but overall the team have given more good times at home this season than bad, and should be proud. Onto next season if this week goes against us!
Nearly impossible to listen to because of the wind. Any chance you can spent a couple of quid on a microphone cover if your going to interview outside.
My first and only football match, went because my school PE teacher was playing for Farnborough, and we got a streaker thrown in as well. I must’ve been about 11 😂
As a Yeovil fan thanks for your kind words. I do wish sometimes we could find that extra gear you spoke of. 😂 We will need it going to places like Braintree and Slough in our run in. Best wishes to you all at Farnborough for the rest of the season.
Shame about the result, but Spencer is spot on we have had some real poor performances lately, BUT when we get the ball down and play we look brilliant but too often we look 2nd best and hit the ball in the air.
Taunton should of been atleast 4-0 up in first 10mins lol, we dominated, 2nd half Farnborough bossed possession and made Lavercombe make 3 fantastic saves but Taunton played the counter attack well in 2nd half
That's more like it and begs the question....why can't the team fight like this every week. Clearly some of the players have the character required to get stuck in...This schizophrenic series of performances needs to be dealt with, sorted, whereby we can put out a hard working, quality side every week (injuries allowing...)
View from the opposition camp. Well said Spencer - a very fair reflection of the game including, I have to admit, a penalty that was soft to say the least. A number of high flying teams failed to win on Saturday so a point against Farnborough was not too shabby.
True. First half wasn't bad at all but the second half was appalling. We seemed to lack effort, energy and direction. This is becoming a serious issue....
I'm loving this passionate Spencer Day. And he's right. The players need a kick up the backside. And they're a talented bunch who are punching way beneath their weight. The fans deserve a lot better. I travelled to this from Exeter, where I now live, and drive hundreds of miles, like many others, to support the club but this was a shocking, embarrassing and disgusting effort. Please, Spencer, more passion from you and make some big changes. Good video...
A poor start to the season. We should have been able to beat this lot; they're not that good and if you can't raise your game in this competition then we're going nowhere fast. Since the last few games of last season we've been decidedly average and I'm not the only one getting rather fed up with these excuses. And they're always the same. The other team, the run of the ball, injuries, luck. You make your own luck. We have the fanbase, the resources, the players even. So can we please stop messing around and start playing with some passion......I've been watching Boro since 1978 and I know it's up and down at this level but we can do much better....
