WOW! We have so much in common! I have been watching a lot of your video's! I have the same lights but pro11 and the same 20 l frag tank and the same 3 tierd frag rack! I cant seem to get Coraline to cover my racks in one of my tanks. I keep wiping down the red diatoms or whatever it is and in one tank coraline took over and its gone and corals are fine. the one that wont grow coraline the zoas on the racks keep dying! IT only bothers them and grows on them and smothers them out! I think its from the LPS mode maybe! How long do you run LPS mode? Manufacturer finally sent me the settings of what lps is and its supposed to run 15 hours at low settings! It is 9am 0 10 10 10 2 0 10 am 1 30 30 30 5 2 11 am to 6 pm is the highest at 3 60 60 60 8 0 7 pm 1 50 50 5 0 7 pm until midnight 0 50 50 5 0. Does the v3 seem to follow that schedule? Do yours shut of looking very white? Maybe because of high blues! Does this setting cause you to grow diatoms on the racks? do yu have any idea the settings of lps on the V3. I am asking all these questions because I am not happy with the lps mode and want to go back to my original settings. I only set lps because I lost the program and lost the numbers! I was very sick and on the way to hospital so had to do something! Lost a lot of corals afterwards! What were your setting like when you had prime? Did everything go ok when you switched lights? I have a huge order coming in and so scared to change back. I was running 12 hours and highest setting was 12 72 72 72 0. I did a par test and at 12 dept during the highest setting on LPs mode it was around 130 I keep going back and forth if I should keep the setting or go back! I hate it not going off in low blues to see the corals florescent colors> very scarry since it was a 15 hour but In fact It was only running 14 in my tank! Plus last change killed most my corals and to much to risk! UGGHH I dont want to loose my corals! Any suggestions? Love your channel!
Man< that flame Hawk is moving out! LOL. Mine couldnt swim barely at all plus he ate my big cleaner shrimp! I have noopsyche11's on LPs and I hate it the program! I found oyu video because I was looking for settings on it! Does this lps mode shut off in blues too? Mine shuts off white! Mainly whay I want to get back to regulars mode but had it that way for years o it scares me! I really like the noopsyche brand so thinking of picking up another pair just incase mine dies! They are 4 years old so probably not much life in them and good to be prepared! Ihave been watching you for years! Keep it up!
I really like my aqua clear filters. Something nobody mentions is the fact is if you need to medictae your tank,you need to remove the carbon but its inside the filter pad of the other brands. I cut the botton of one side and dump it out. Its annoying. I dont run carbon in my ac's but if i did its as easy as just taking out the carbon bag. And contrary ro what people say, my ac's always start back running after power loss. I turn them off every day to feed.
I love ur frag tank! Are you saying thats all the rock you have and pond matrix in the filter? I made a huge mistake on my 20 l. I have 2 inch bio balls and tons of big pieces of rubble. It impossible to clean. I also love the baskets too Where did you get them? I designed the tank for zoas and shrooms. Its finally keeping zoas alive! I guess I moved some in when the diatoms where to much! I would love to get rid of all the rocks and keep more bare bottom but i thought I would need more surface area for the beneficial bacteria! Do oyu think I can slowly move some out? I was thinking of crushing to smaller piece but still to hard to clean. I have to lift the rack up and try to vacuum under! Very difficult so much so I thought of tearing it down being I already have 2 other tanks to maintain but i need the xtra space for frags! Its amazing you dont change water and dont have crazy high po4 and nitrates! I have to do 2 week water changes and added gfo. I do have one molly and have yet to feed the corals and levels were high!! i guess just from feeding the fish! BUT first batch of snail all died, maybe to hard to navigate the big rubble and now I only have 2 but they only stay on glass and mollys are great at eatting algae/diatoms are almost gone in 2 weeks! Do you have fish/ snails. maybe i will just get rid of moly now that tank is keeping corals alive! I have bubble algae everywhere in my 20 aio took out all rocks and scrubbed and it back! Cant find the emeralds I bought! I wish I would have laid directly onto the algae! Love your videos appreciate any advice!
