Hi! We are Diane and James, a married couple that loves to travel and make memories with all of our adventures. We love to cruise, camp, and overall just travel. Follow along with us as we show you our adventures and give you tips and tricks to help save you time and money.
We booked through Disney. We try to always book through the cruise line, just makes everything easier. I am pretty sure we did the 6 hour tour. We wanted more beach time.
Beautiful place! Not far from our home base in Central Tx. We are looking to do a little boondocking on that beach soon. While we are there we plan to check out the Rv parks. This looks high end! Do you know if they have senior rates? And if you know, what is the going price for renting a golf cart or dune buggy? We’d prefer not to tow behind our Class C.
This park is a little more on the high end side but the amenities and cleanliness of the park makes up for it. I don’t believe they had any senior rates. It just was just dependent on the size of your rig. Dune buggies are not allowed on the beach at Port Aransas, it’s Golf Carts only. We haven’t rented Golf Carts down there before because we own one. But I’ve heard Texas Red Golf carts is a good place. I don’t know their rates. But here is their website. www.texasredgolfcarts.com There is another RV park that is good. It’s called Pioneer RV Resorts Just doesn’t have as much shade.
Thank you! Yes they do play music at the outside pool area. They also play pool games as well. There is also an inside pool with jacuzzi’s but they don’t play music in there.
What time did you go? We have heard that if the show is going on it's quite loud. We have an 8:00 reservation. We also heard that the show is on at a later time. Any comments. TIA
I can’t remember the exact time but I know we did the first seating. It can be a little loud but you can hear the whole fine but it’s not to loud where you couldn’t carry on a conversation. There’s not a lot of taking in the actual show, they just say a few words at a time.
Horseshoe Falls can be seen from Goat Island at Terrapin Point it's definitely a different angle but it's not bad at all. on the Canadian Side you can only get close to parts of the Horseshoe Falls US side it's possible to get right up and personal with all 3 Falls I'm actually about to upload videos from the American Side shortly
Howdy, just wanted to let you know that I used your travel agent (Sandy at Small World Vacations) to book my Merrytime cruise. She's fantastic! I made sure to let her know you sent me her way. Thank you! <3
Buy Disney gift cards with your Target red card and save 5% on everything! I just bought $400 in Disney gift cards and then added them to my app so on my upcoming cruise, everything will be charged there and I will save 5%. I know some people have even paid for their cruise using them! (So then you could potentially save 15% with placeholder and Disney cards!)
Nice review! I was considering taking my girlfriend to Le Petit Chef's NYC experience, it looks like they are similar and something she would enjoy! Now we have to go! Hope you enjoyed your cruise and keep up the reviews! I subscribed.
Great video! Since going to Disneyland this summer, I realise how much of a money-making machine the Disney super brand is. Great to hear a few ways to save a few £$€!
Paradise Point is a fun if you are just touring by yourself. I would have to say snorkeling is some of the best around. If you have a chance to do a snorkel and beach day you won't be disappointed. Have you been there before?
You’ll love that Ship! It’s awesome. Snorkeling is our favorite, but if you want to explore the island you can also do a city tour, just make sure you stop at Paradise Point and/or Mountain Top. The Mountain Top has the famous Banana Daiquiri. It has stunning views from there.
You can also save more by buying the reduced Disney gift cards at Costco and Target in the US to pay for the cruise. The best value Disney cruises on a per night basis are the transatlantic and Panama Canal transit. This Autumn, the cruise fare for the Disney Magic westbound transatlantic has recently been reduced even more. There are also fantastic offers for the last-minute cruises from Florida in Autumn and January and February. I recommend watching the cruise fares if you are able to travel last minute. I like Vacationstogo for watching cruise fares. There are also last-minute offers for Florida residents. The weekend cruises will have the most children onboard. Another pro tip from before The Blip, was upgrading at port at check-in. You could save 40-50% on Verandah and Concierge staterooms, based on availability. I always booked the cheapest stateroom and upgraded. Since Disney doesn't offer drink packages, they have drink of the day specials which are an excellent value. Thank you for sharing your money saving tips!
We're taking our first Celebrity cruise January 2023 on the Apex so it was fun to see your reactions as first-timers on it as well. Thanks for the video!
That is against the rules. You cannot walk around drinking your brought aboard alcohol. It is meant to be drank inside your stateroom. If you have wine, you can bring it to dinner but there is a $25 uncorking fee.
Reya, yes you are correct there is an uncorking fee if you bring the unopened bottle to the restaurant. But if you ask one of the bar tenders for wine glasses and pour the wine in your room, no one will question where you got the wine from. I do agree if someone tries to bring in a drink that is not normal then someone will probably question it.
Awesome money saving tips! I totally agree with you on using a tavel agent to book a cruise. We have a cruise booked for Feb. 2023 and I intend to use the Place Holder for a 2024 cruise as well. And, it's Disney all the way for us! Thanks for sharing!
Very informative video. You might want to start saying that the walls and doors of the cruise ships are metal, not magnetic. Lol! That would really be awkward if they were maganetic. Everything that is metal would be sticking to them. I guess this is a minor detail but so many bloggers are making this same mistake I felt compelled to say something to someone. My daughter and I had fun on our last Disney cruise, in December, decorating our cabin door with Disney magnets and Christmas decorations. I highly recommend it! Thanks for sharing these great activities with us!
You also earn Disney Rewards Dollars every time you use your Disney Visa Card. I'm taking a 4 Night Disney Cruise this December with my rewards dollars and I still have enough for another one this spring. You can also use your rewards dollars towards your airfare if you have to fly before you cruise.
How do you apply for a Disney visa is it something you do ahead of time before you online or do they have something to sign up on the cruise I've never been on a cruise so wanna know before I go
Try to book when the dates are released. We also have a great travel agent that is able to place holds and keeps an eye out for the bigger verandas for us.
