I’m having a ton of trouble with rangers in HR. Lose long range of course. They dominate me in mid-range with multishot. I can’t out zap fast enough. I can’t get in close. Would love in-depth guide
One of the best/worst thing about druids is, that they can always escape. They can even ignore most doors, which is too strong i think. I think a nerf their transform could be enough. Let it be 0.5s transform time. Its ridicolous that they can come as chicken or rat, instant transform to bear attack you, and instant transform to rat again to dodge, or stuff like this. Also it looks ridicolous and not "realistic" at all. In no universe a druid would be able to do it like this.
Dont get me wrong, i think Druid is very good atm but ive been playing fighter/ barb and im able to kill pretty much every druid i come across. I think they maybe need to nerf some things about them purely because they are just better rogues atm
Your videos really are so helpful man, thank you for all of the content. My wizard is improving immensely. And I appreciate you not complaining about the class and just evaluating it for what it is
great video and has some really good info but one piece that was slightly wrong is when a druid panther jumps as soon as they change into a different form they lose the frenzy effect and will not have silence. so where this is applied if they panther jump into chicken into panther they will not be frenzied even within the 3 second time frame
Hey, if you get 80 knowledge on wizard you get 150% spell casting speed. This turns the Ice Bolt 1.25 second cast time to 0.5 second. Combo with Ice Mastery for 0.5 second root. Have you ever tried this build?
If you include quickchant and sage you will only need around 65 knowledge. Wizard base knowledge is 20. Can get 38 knowledge from static attribute legendary in every slot, and +2 knowledge random attribute from hat. Can get 2 from rogue jokester and 3 from bard storyteller.
The class is painfully overloaded don't get me wrong but i don't see why everyone cry's about bear form for me it feels like its only good against people who aren't as good as others
Thanks for the nice video, i always come read the comments here because you are saying interesting advice and people here actually think and are not just complaining without any argument proving their point. So thanks and i hope you will continue to do videos like that
One issue about wizards is actually that they lack several defensive and area control skills that they have in the lore, it is the most versatile caster class of all while in the game the (battle) utility spells are limited to haste and invis and their only defense is dissuade the opponent with dps, forcing a versatile class to be one-way, if that fails.... Where is the shield spell, false life, mage armor, Misty step, Fire Shield... and a myriad of area control spells?
the druid is unbalanced because players don't need to make any tradeoffs for the different kind of builds. bear builds still benefit from panther and panther builds still benefit from bear. all the while they can also still cast spells. it would be like if wizards could run a build with arcane shield and instant cast at the same time.
@@pbitsurf the trade off is a kit that costs 30k golds that you can lose in a split second in panther form. hybrid agi/strenght is super expensive and i doubt more than 1% of druid players can afford to lose it
@@BettyDrumbut you have rat form and can jump through doors or panther chicken jump away or use dream walk Druid has so many ways to live when they horribly fuck up that’s the problem
@@Bodhisattva_Prime on paper you are right but: 1. druid has zero range, less than cleric 2. rat form? you have 1 hp, even a small breez can kill you and many classes are plenty of dots 3. dreamwalk? nowdays many players figured out how to take advantage of it and it become a sentence of death, cause yera, you cant shapeshift / attack, is a double edge sword 4. panther? sure, you can dash in, but than you cant dash out, and anyway good luck running away with almost zero HP against classes with range abilities. and than if you are strenght / bear based, you are slow as fuck anyway. 5. chiken? chiken is good, but again, your hp are halved. 1 shot and you are toasted. This is my personal POV as a bad druid main, so take it with a grain of salt, im sure few top players with 50k full legendary crafted kits can 1 shot you, but even them, in panther form, get 2 shotted.
@@BettyDrum you can get up to 40 hp in rat because of add flat hp roles on gear and it doesn’t matter if Druid has no ranged when you can cross a module in 2.5 seconds dreamwalk can technically be countered but that’s only if they don’t just turn rat the only class that counters dream walk is poison weapon rogue even then rogue is one of the worst classes I the game right now so no one plays it
@@Bodhisattva_Prime u got rolled by the arguments. Building hybrid + hp is so insanely expensive even 1% cannot afford it, and it doesnt even do much because u still get 1shoted as rat by pretty much anything except torch. There is a lot of counters for dreamwalk, a lot players have not figured it out yet
little tip: if you want to know if it's a cat or bear based on gear, look at the boots. 9/10 times a pure bear druid will be wearing heavy boots. but cat/hybrid builds will choose laced turnshoes. most cats wear straw hats/padded tunics anyways so they aren't the best identifiers.
@@cngblade my hybrid is heavy boots with loose trousers 38 str, 38 agi i been maining druid since last wipe and i would have to say rat form needs hard nerf and you should only be able to pick either bear or panther not both
You're wrong about judging a druid by hat and chest piece. Always look at their pants and boots. A pure bear almost always takes heavy boots for the str. A bear will wear demonclad or wolfhunter leggings for str. I play a hybrid druid and always wear a straw hat/forest hood and padded tunic. Look for boots and pants xD. I hate to recommend this, but fireball spam a druid. It will give you the momentum in the fight. If I'm half HP, i will most likely try to heal before going for a pounce. You can 2 tap a panther with any weapon. Crystal sword is too slow. I definitely recommend using a magic staff or ignited rondel
Isnt max health or max health bonus better then vigor? Once you get 20 vigor or what ever the light cap is it takes 4 vigor to get 1 health? Comoared to flat stats like +4 max health or am i wrong ?
I think either removing the instant transformation perk, or making players choose human + 2 forms, would help but the kit regardless of GS bracket is insane on druids.
i think its good theres a class thats basically a caster assassin. The problem is that they can also be a tank and take on PDR. I think they should limit druid to either specing into panther or bear, not both. I also think you overstated how "impossible" it is to beat a panther, its literally 2 shot by anything in the game because of how squishy it is. Just play around their dash and you have a pretty easy fight. Also never run from a panther... i cant believe that was your advice... if a panther wants to catch you, they will
very superficial explanation of druid mechanics and no in depth tips on how to fight a panther. you could have for example pointed out the useability of intense focus
@@kMhah Intense focus has no scaling based on your stats and yeah it's situational. Arcane shield will do the job better in 90% of the situations and has really good scaling (I am talking Solo)
A huge issue is that every shapeshift form is supposed to have a downside, however with infinite instant shapeshifts all you have to do is press 1 button to shapeshift depending on what you need. A bear has the speed of a dashing panther for a full second since you can do panther -> chicken -> bear. And it will not be a dangerous play because of an instant -> rat
I think removing instant shape shift literally makes the class unplayable, try removing the perk and see how bad it plays. What they should do imo, is limit druid to either panther or bear build, (can't take both). That way the squishy panther still has mobility, and the tanky bear can't leap across the room
@@secs3 Yeah, that'd take some fun out of it. I said infinite instant, adding charges, potentially with a passive recharge like rangers backstep would be great
one thing that could already change a lot would be a small cooldown on shapeshifting. just a 1 or max 2 second cooldown would already slow down a lot of the oppressive plays. for example you would have to wait a second in panther form before you do the chicken jump, making it reactable. you could also put the cooldown on the instant shape perk so he would still be able to transform but slower while it's on cooldown. right now druid can change form 5 times a second which is kind of busted. I play a lot of classes including wizard but I main druid and I want the class to be fair. warlock should always be the most hated class, not druid lol
druid is the class that have tones of chance to make mistake before they kill you, but you can't make mistake when you against them, specially wizard may just run out of spell after the reset
Hello Blade my goat, I got issues with Druids and Rogues, they can sneak up so easily with mouse and chicken or invis if there's noise in the room when they just spawn on me i can't do shit. Idk how I'm suposed to see those coming, do you have any advices? Do you just spam ignite and get ready to shield? (works with rogues cause the class is shit but not so much on druid IMO)
@@Devildog0491 fighter with shield can block anything and counterattack your huge body ez or just kite with cross or longbow. warlock just melts you with dots / flamewalk and kite. if it happen u can have a clean shot on him, he just press the immortality button and phase away. ranger will just kite you and destroy with long bow, mahe the same, barbarian with bardiche has more range, cleric can just shield any attack, rogues can just kite. surelly i am missing something
@@BettyDrum barb you need him to all in you and you will win the trade but if he knows how to put space be patient maybe his barbarian brain will wake up and he will push like an idiot but try not to take unnecessary hits against bardiche or sweihander, rogue if you land a hit he is more or less one shot but they are fast so try to trap him in a corner or with treant, for every ranged class you will have a hard time but its the same method as rogue, against shield and longsword dont rightclick but left click instead it is way harder to block, and for cleric try to bait smite and attack when he does not have abilities but again the can just back up and full run and of course you can follow them but it does not mean you can kill them, also under 24 those advice more or less work because druid is very gear dependent, good luck my druid friend and watch some youtube guide you will learn more than from me
i find it really funny that rogue that is supposed to be a rat class with good mobility/kite (lockpicks and double jump) is powercrept by a druid, that deals way more damage on panther, has oneshot potential on bear and has a full speed velocity triple jump (panther+chicken) and can basically ignore doors...
druid is far from being op. is op when I watch top streamers fragging noobs, but the same applies to any other class. is not op cause 1. it takes a lit of game knowledge and skill to use it efficently 2. panther form is super squishy 3. bear form is super slow, anyone can kite and punish 4. zero magic resistance when average player will start to understand how to kite a bear and how to swing a panther is game over. the only OP thing is long bow damage.
Yes exactly the range is the worst opponent of the druid, just run away while doing damage and you are ok, but yeah their are matchups like barbarian with a felling axe against a bear druid the fight is almost impossible for the barb but against a ranger from my experience i cant do much unless the guy is completely new or braindead
Been saying this for a while, bear could be somewhat balanced if they changed a bit of stuff without making it terrible. But panther needs a full rework, theres no way to nerf it without making it fully useless or OP asf. Panther near insta kills any squishy class and there is quite literally nothing you can do about it as caster or ranger. The insane MS combined with silence, poison and 2 tap just doesn't have counter play.
druid has always been better then bear just make bear slower and boom its gonna be ten times worse it should be able to one tap people it makes sense u know big bear top down attack but its to fast thats the problem and druids with inf heals but druid is genuinly impossible to avoid to fast dash ability high dps
panther is literally 2 shot by anything in the game, wtf do you mean it doesn't have counterplay? literally just hit them before they hit you and you win
@@BettyDrum You havent played caster warlock a day in your life and it shows. 😂wizard has some chance if they are running a melee caster build but warlock straight up dies 99/100 times to panther. if you phantomize you instantly lose the fight cause the panther can just chase you down and stay right on you in phantomize. Braindead meta slave druid over here.
Just to clarify, I do think the Druid kit is overloaded, as it offers mobility, damage, survivability, sustain, and tankiness. That said, I don't control the balancing team. However, I can help others understand how the class works and find ways to increase their survival rate. At the end of the day, you can only change what you have control over.
Solid video, good advice. I disagree that the kit is overloaded. Just because the druid CAN do those things doesnt mean they are up all the time. Panther loses a huge amount of health to just be a panther. If hes in panther hes def not tanking, if he is healing hes not doing damage. Action economy is a thing. Wizard is incredibly hard to deal with as druid, even for panthers. You're 100% right in the example, missiles would have won you that engage.
@@Devildog04911 mistake on panther, and your life is ended. You literally have to play flawlessly on panther to win duels and not to mention they are on the brink of death 90% of the time after every kill
@@Devildog0491obviously they can’t do everything in their kit at the exact same time lol but the point is the kit IS overloaded because it has the agency and options to be able to do any or all of those things over the course of a game or even just a single engagement. You could see someone across an entire module triple panther chicken Jump across the entire thing in 2s and go bear out of chicken jump to land on them basically everytime if ur good and one tap them with bear right click to the head and if by a miracle they live or it’s a really tanky class and you somehow misplay and they get you low while u miss a bunch in a 5s span u can then just go rat run away while being almost unhittable chicken jump over more walls so they can’t follow you immediately reset with ur 3 heals to full hp then chicken jump back over while they’re still trying to heal dash across half the module again to gap close and then panther to strip their buff and kill them finally or just go bear again and do more damage than any other class in 1 hit lol. The kit is by far the most overloaded in the game and it isn’t even close and the fact you can’t be a bear and panther and cast ur spells all at once doesn’t change that at all lmao
@@wideout7838 in your dreams man. people dont stand still to get one taped. bear right click animation takes almost a second to land, even my dead grandmother can dodge it
Players have gotten way better with shields lately, especially with how they hit my casting hand to stop the missiles. How are you handling those situations, especially when you don’t have enough movespeed to prevent them from getting in your face?
The trick is to cancel the missile right before you get blocked and jump back to cast another one. They usually still eat 3-4 mm on a full cast so it’s not sustainable on their part, if you got enough space you can just back off for zap or fb
All my friends say that Wizard sucks, so I have never played Wizard. Yet, whenever I come across one, I get my own ass handed to me. I might have to try it out. Most people play classes with low magic damage reduction anyway.
Great video, as usual. All these insights give me a better understanding. However, I still have to say: most fighters that are experienced will just fight me from range and kill me with bow/crossbow. And if they are close, they are usually using rondel + buckler and bump into my hand/ball when casting magic missile. Any tips on how to counter both of those situations?
