Sounds like she was a cross dresser for reasons of concealing her identity. Much like Harriet Tubman who also dressed like a man in an effort to conceal her identity too. This was completely necessary in an effort to travel across state lines without being questioned much since men were more apt to travel with less restriction then women at this critical time of slavery. She was very much an important woman seeking to complete important task of her time disguised as a man. 😮😮😮😮😮
Freedman bank is now immigrant bank and poot white everbody bank thanks to Kamala harris. to all the descendants of Freedmen and women... you are screwed again by another immigrant working under WS
“The shades of the prison-house closed round about us all: walls strait and stubborn to the whitest, but relentlessly narrow, tall, and unscalable to sons of night who must plod darkly on in resignation, or beat unavailing palms against the stone, or steadily, half hopelessly, watch the streak of blue above. After the Egyptian and Indian, the Greek and Roman, the Teuton and Mongolian, the Negro is a sort of seventh son, born with a veil, and gifted with second-sight in this American world,-a world which yields him no true self-consciousness, but only lets him see himself through the revelation of the other world. It is a peculiar sensation, this double-consciousness, this sense of always looking at one’s self through the eyes of others, of measuring one’s soul by the tape of a world that looks on in amused contempt and pity. One ever feels his twoness,-an American, a Negro; two souls, two thoughts, two unreconciled strivings; two warring ideals in one dark body, whose dogged strength alone keeps it from being torn asunder.”
I moved from Memphis to the Pacific Northwest two years ago. I take the bus every day to go to work. I always had a car but sold my last one to add to the $1500 I had to move. I only took the bus once and it was for an assignment in your class! I moved here with 3 suitcases with belongings and a job interview. I stayed with friends until I found a room to rent the day before I started my job. I downloaded the public transportation app to map out my commute to work and hoped to god I would make it to work on time everyday and get home at a reasonable hour. Two years later I still have the job, I have my own place, health insurance, and am still working towards the car. But, for now, I feel comfortable knowing I where I need to go to earn the income to support myself and that my employer is invested in my professional growth and my well-being so I can provide services within my community. I regretfully admit I'm confident there's no f*cking way this would have worked out for me back home.
The interview is so short--'barely scratched the surface' as we say. I could listen to Mary & Early Williams all day long. I wonder about the long journey from that farm to where they are now... Where did they go with their children after they were evicted for registering to vote? Did they stay with family for a while, or did they strike out on their own? Were they able to continue farming, or did they find other work? I'd love to hear them talk about when they felt like they 'made it' or were successful. Accomplishments they were proud of. I'd love to know who they cast their first votes for. I wish we could see family photos from the earliest days of their marriage when their children were still small. I'd love to hear about their life now, where they've settled, & hear them talk about the beautiful grandkids I'm guessing they have.
Could this couple be any more beautiful? I think not. I wish I could have been there to give them their $15 to go to that picnic. Also, the interviewer does need to work on their bedside manner.
SAVE THE EARTH! SAVE ELECTRICITY! SAVE WATER! DON’T WASTE FOOD! NO DEFORESTATION! SAVE PAPER! NO POLLUTION! Fun facts- If we cut down trees, we would get only 2% of oxygen.(O2) 2. If we cut down trees, we would not have things such as paper, rubber, and tissue paper. Wood is the only thing we have for building constructions. We would also get not enough oxygen and everyone will die. 3. We should not pollute air because everyone cannot breathe and lose their life.

He supports the burning alive of children and the rape and murder of their mothers. If he loves Hamas so much I will personally pay for a plane ticket for him to go join them.....of course this won't happen because this disingenuous asshole knows full well they would kill him to. Shame on the university for employing a thing that supports the deliberate targeting of the most innocent. Hamas didn't attack a Israeli military target they attacked babies and anyone who supports that should put on the black garb of ISIS and go overseas and join them as the barbarian you are and see how long you last.
You should remove this video unless you support violence. He gets exhilarated and energized by violence to babies and elderlies. It is disgusting to see him giving a speech about black people here when he loves violence.
Put some respect on Billie Holiday she wasn't scared to sing shit she had no fear in her heart. That's why FEDS killed her they can't even stop God, fearing WOMEN
He was no hero. He was a low-life criminal. His testimony before Congress was considered to be lies. He was no champion of transgendered rights because that wasn’t a thing, especially among blacks who obviously had other things on their minds, like surviving. Stop spreading lies to earn brownie points with blacks, and to make yourself some kind of altruistic sharer of “truth.”
Very passionately admire Dubois, he’s been a great author to read when you want to know more about socialism, he was a very passionate marxist, and you can tell in his works.
We all look threw eyes we all smell threw noses and eat drink threw mouths we all have offspring the same way we all bleed red blood we are all exactly the same and should act accordingly as brothers and sisters under our creator God
This WHITE MAN who is conducting this interview needed to shut the hell up. The nerve of him trying to tell this lovely couple what to say. SMH 3/25/2023
