I just got a refurbished Firestick, and the voice does not work on Alexa. I did what you said and went to equipment control, but it says it will not give me access that I have to pair the fire TV with an Alexa voice, remote with power and volume. But it won’t let me in to that particular setting ofequipment control

It worked like a charm and I don't have my Amazon plugged into a TV I got it plugged into a computer monitor. It worked like a charm what I was trying to get to work was the on and off switch. Mission accomplished now I don't have to get up to turn my monitor on and off for my monitor TV I did this with a little tiny monitor and put a Roku stick in it and it is in my kitchen on top of my microwave so I can watch TV and stuff or whatever I want while I'm slicing and dicing
