Had the revox online variant but that stopped working and got no support, got this shipped from his eBay in 3 days! Apart from soldering the wire it’s easy enough. The other tape counter was counting with diodes and reflective tape and was a pain in the a€€ to setup and adjust. Only small downside of this is the brightness of the display. Otherwise I’m very very pleased with it!
those speakers look like Refrigerators. they don't fit in most Homes. it's like a Car with 1000 Horse Power . where do you drive this thing ??!!!!!. you can only do 80 to 90 Miles TOP on the high way !.
Thanks for the video. How do you rate the DXT compared to the rest of your DIY projects? I ask because I'm also very interested in these kits, especially the DXT
KEF Reference 3 has a low frequency response designed to be placed close to the wall. DXT-MON-182 has more bass. They are too close to the wall, hence the excess.
IF ONLY I HAD MY "DREAM SET-UP" I'D ONLY COME OUT 2 SHOP, FUCK THE ENTIRE WORLD & EVERYBODY ON THIS PLANET, (N A SECLUDED PLACE WHERE I NEVER HAVE 2C THESE COWARDS) UNTIL THE APPOINTED TIME.
Very nice sound - come the clear natural sound from your little dac? The most High-End-Enthusiasts prefer Dac's with tube output like Lampizator! Have you compared your dac?
I am not a fan of tubes, I believe in high fidelity reproduction with as little distortion and coloration as possible. Some do say though that my XR+DAC sounds quite analog.
Killing time on a Sunday afternoon. Thought to myself "I wonder what chips I could use to build a digital volume control"... ended up here! Very impressive project. I'd love to convert your PCB design and BOM into jlcpcb files so anyone could order a couple for manufacture for themselves :)
