To this day, its still peculiar to me that the Greater Will is the only Outer God that we have zero evidence for. It‘s all just assumptions being made by and about Metyr and the Elden Beast. For instance, your entire theory still works just the same if the Greater Will has no agency and is just a natural phenomenon. Like when asked by Napoleon Bonaparte what role God played in this, Laplace replied "Sire, I have no need of that hypothesis."
There's one other thing I would also like to point out, specifically the soundtrack that plays when fighting Metyr. The 2nd phase specifically, its not completely music but more or less a very strange vibration or groaning sound throughout. In actuality, it's heavily based off of the first sound recordings of an actual black hole. So theres a lot more symbology of the Greater Will and a Black Hole even down to the music. However... I am not sure if the Black Hole wouldve consumed the Greater Will. Moreover, I am wanting to believe it's part of it. Super Massive Black Holes are at the centers of our universe, and are what keep the galaxies spinning and preventing hs from flying apart. A sort of balance, or order, that keeps everything in check on a cosmic level.

I think the nox injured metyr with the fingerslayer blade. Which is was caused the greater will to banish then underground. The damage of the blade couldve severed a connection to the greater will

I don't think that greater will totally dissappeared, more like The one Great "parts" started to divide even further than before, "The Cosmic influence" started to have lesser impact on the world. Also most people seems to forget that Fingers and Greater Will literally operates on "Faith" the weaker faith, the weaker the power it grants

The intro cut scene says the greater will abandoned the lands between during the shattering, sick of the demigods’ BS. But it seems like metyr was also physically damaged. Big gouge in her chest.
logically it would make sense for the GW to have turned into the flame of frenzy, if those fantasy concepts are based on astronomy concepts. we have the One Great, the singularity that would explode and expand with the big bang, creating the known universe. the stardust of this great explosion is carried around, following the gravitational waves, gathering. soon, one celestial body gthers more matter and more matter, influencing the stars through its grvitational pull. influencing the stars in elden ring means influencing fate, so as this body grows, it is seen akin to a "greater will" ruling the currents of the stars. Metyr communicated with this body, this greater will. however, as time went on, it collapsed unto itself, turning into a black hole, absorbing galaxies, stars, etc. the "procession of stars" the demihumans seek is just cosmic entropy. and this cosmic entropy has a name: the flame of frenzy. a new One Great that would soon devour the universe and bring all back to its original state. metyr can't communicate with the greater will cause the greater will is done, the procession of stars leads only to ruin cause that's where gravity leads to. the flame of frenzy is one gigantic black hole. "what was borrowed must be given back" matter was borrowed to create the universe. the universe failed, and so matter must return to its original state.

I think the connection between Metyr and the GW was broken after the Elden Ring appeared in the Lands Between, however I don't think there is enough info to say when it happened, just that it did.
@@rigo.acosta it was a personal preference, as when I say it with my accent it sounded a lot like "Ronnie", which I wasn't a fan of. However I got a lot of feedback on this video about it and have since changed my pronouciation in recent videos.
My theory is that the Frenzied Flame is the Greater Will's fale safe when all else fails in order... chaos and restarting everything. Like the natural order of life, death, creation, and destruction. It all is a natural cycle. So yeah.
You should make another video that delves into the philosophical implications of the people in the Lands Between no longer having a guiding force, akin to no longer having a mother kinda. The fear of responsibility to dictate one’s destiny and how some will either take the burden of responsibility in not only guiding themselves but the others who forfeit this new freedom of choice to a replacing figure of power.
I think something to be noted is that fingers we meet are not really "real" but a memory of them. So any words or beliefs would only be contemporary in someway from the moment of their creation. We see this with the blacksmith creating a weapon to kill a god. But that weapon somehow already had a history with GEQ.
Is The Greater Will honestly any greater than all the other outer gods? I don't think they created the cosmos and don't think they are the One Great. Words and word order seem to be so important to the lore it just feels so purposeful that it is different

My theory is that the Greater Will sent elden Beast and Finger Mothers to many worlds. The fight against the Elden Beast shows the other worlds tree. I believe many worlds have already fallen and been destroyed by chaos. The birth of the 3 fingers is what I believe cut off the Greater Will from the lands between. All worlds touched by the Greater Will will return to the One Great
Man that was a beautiful video, you brought up so much that I had considered when I was playing my first time and it was amazing. The scientific philosophies and astronomy used in elden ring are what made it my second favorite of all of the souls games and you bringing up the microcosm and the abyss with metyr was so good. When I learned for the first time that the two fingers were basically frantically giving orders it like broke my brain because of the base game telling me for 2 years about how important they were lol.
