If u buy the pack of white glue sticks and they are dried out...remove the sticks and put them in a jar or small zip bag and add only a little 50 or 70% alcohol...in a few days they will be reconstituted and ready to put back into the plastic tube case.
Interesting video. The only thing I disagree with you on a product is the glue stick. I have bought so many over time hoping to save money on them; only to find that they dry up too quickly and always end up being thrown away. I buy mine at either WM, Hobby Lobby or Michaels now. And they last.
I'm making a father Christmas coat with hunter green sheep leather as a shell, cotton batting as the insular liner and pure cotton black satin backed with linen as the actual liner. I'm using caramel colored wool-on sheepskin for the borders. When cutting fur, it's always best to use a knife.
That's sweet of you to repair his jeans! I'm dealing with a similar issue. My jeans have thinned in the front thigh area, and completely blown out where the knees are. I think I'm going to use doubled-up iron-on patches. One with the adhesive facing out, and another one on top of it adhesive facing in. I'll try to create a "floating" area with no attachment where the rip is, so when I bend my knee there's some give, but sew down the other areas of the patch. I'll do the cross hatching too. It seems just like ripstop. Maybe I'll even mix colors or something. I want to show off my mends, not hide them. Thanks! 😁
Also the contact paper is fantastic, especially the clear kind, you can use it in your cricket or cutting machines, you can use it to laminate stuff, and my favorite part about it is that it’s actuallly vinyl so you can heat seal it/shrink wrap it to or over stuff with a heat cub or or even just a lighter. So you can cover things that are shaped really weird. It’s literally one of my all time favorite dollar store hacks. It even comes in matte, or glossy. The glossy one doesn’t say glossy it just says transparent but the matte one specifies that it is matte transparent so that’s how you tell the difference.
FYI there are two main types of Santa suits. The traditional has fur along the front seam. The other is the Cola suit, which has buttons and not fur along the front.
