Hi Cap'n Ken, I'm looking for something to use in place of annoying 7 strand wire for divers in salmon fishing on the Great Lakes. I presume from the title of your piece that you've found 19 strand can be substituted for 7 strand for divers without any real difference in practical use. Is that so? well it tryed the wire and to tell u the truth i will all always use 30 lbs braid it cuts thought the water way better no noise to .tryed that wire for 2 years .went to braid and will never go back.
