I photograph, film, travel, unbox...... Ohh, I also vlog every once in a while! I like to also talk about old cameras (both analog and digital) because I think that many of them still produce great results!
Thank you very much for watching my videos, I hope you all can gain something from them! I wish you all a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting!:-)
Just got one of these locally for an amazing deal off of FB Marketplace. $20 with a bunch of accessories and in good condition. Trying to learn as much about it to get the best images I can out of it. Scouted the deal literally a day before a trip to Acadia National Park and had fun playing with it throughout the trip. Had some struggle with the focus and lighting but I'm learning how to use the manual modes better. Thanks for this video!
I bought the E-300 new in 2005 and still use it today, i loved the camera so much that i bougt one for my wife also and one for back up camera. In the meantime I've got the 330 and the 410 as well . And i got the 420 , every camera is a bit different. I use them for landscape photography . The only difficulty is finding lenses here in the Netherlands. They are very hard to come by Bild quality is great .
Oh man. I still remember when this came out. Upgraded from an Exilim EX-M2 to the EX-Z750. At the time. It was so amazing! The video quality was a massive step up. And I still remember being able to encode movies to watch them on that screen!
@@danielpfc8665 The D800 is more of a landscape camera, The kind you walk around with a tripod and take Photos that can be enlarged into large prints. The d750 is more of a general use camera.
I just bought myself the exact model, which is why I’m here haha, I’ve always wanted a rangefinder and in my budget I believe this model is very under the radar, and I also love how it looks, I’m excited to go out and shoot it when it does arrive! Thank you it’s nice seeing a very recent video about this model
nice review / overview, thanks! the volume jump when going from dialogue to music feels a bit loud in this edit . an extra -1.5dB / 3B feels appropriate.
When I bought my G15,I bought it because I wanted this line model WITHOUT the flip out screen. I had the G11and G12...too bulky for me. G15 was like Ahhhhhhhh in the hand.
The 1000s is only not as reliable when it comes to the shutter mechanism. In terms of the technicality why it is not as reliable, I am also not sure, I am just taking in the information from the service. I am sorry about this. I thank you very much for watching, I wish you a good time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
Would this be good as a beginner camera? And if so what lens would you recommend for it? Ive been just shooting with my drone and recently started getting into portrait shooting, street and nature photography but Im not fully confident yet so I wanna start with this, Ive seen some for sale for around 300$ second hand and I'm kinda interested but I'm unsure cause it is an old camera and Im not familiar with manual settings yet and I don't wanna end up selling a kidney for the new Canon models
I bought the first model of EOS 1Ds in 2002 and I still have it. Wonderful light gulping 11.1 megapixels sensor which will produce tack sharp 20x24 prints. Sure it's slow and behind the times but I still love the old girl. I paid $8500 for the body only in 2002. Ouch.
Maybe you need to take peoples comments onboard and reframe the video - or maybe maybe a part 2 with this in mind? It seems the Mamiya 645 is reliable, just a few things to learn with how it works! 😁
Thank you very much for watching and for commenting. Regarding the comment by others, I am not saying that the Mamiya 645 family is not reliable, they are. Furthermore, the comments made others that assumes the problem that I have with my shutter is not the same as my problem that I actually have with my shutter (as I have also explained in those replies). My problem is very specific to the 1000s model of the Mamiya 654. This has also been confirmed by the service staff as well. That said, in all other aspects, this camera still remains my favourite film camera that I own and still takes great photos. I am happy for you if your Mamiya 645 1000s is working perfectly because this camera can really take a beating and also can deliver great results. I thank you very much for watching and for your kind suggestions, I also hope you understand my perspectives as well that other people's comment on mu shutter issue isn't addressing the particular shutter problem that I have and I am only making that comment to help people if they are considering the 1000s model as one of the other options not to say something bad about the camera since at the end of the day, it is still a great camera. I wish you a good time, stay safe and have fun shooting
Yeah, there is a bit of charm is using older classic 35mm camera and the Petri is another good camera as well! :-) I am sure you have produced great results with it. :-) I thank you very much for watching as well as for sharing your story, very much appreciated it. I wish you a good time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
Great video. I got mine a long time ago. Went looking for it in my storage boxes and found it. Card and battery inside. Can’t find the charger or the reader. Will have to keep looking. Gave it a nice little wipe and placed it right back in the box. Good times with this camera and lots of great memories.
So as a 13 year old in 8th grade you dreamt of owning a canon 1d3 . WOW! and to think this camera has really specific case uses because of the sensor size not like the 1dS2 or 3 which are more practical and out around the same time .. interesting .
Just picked up a D600 for $180 on Facebook Marketplace... pretty amazing in low light (up to 3200 ISO is ok)... sweet dynamic range also... I recommend it!
Enjoy your videos very much. Love it when you sue the medium format, although I do love some of your 35mm film you have taken tin the past. So, thank you for your videos and for sharing. your photos as well. God Bless and take care. Roger
I just ordered a mint+ example from Japan. Can’t wait. I bought it because everyone talks about 3D pop with this lens. Which your pictures confirm. Looks great. Thanks for your opinions on it.
I've just bought a used D600 body for a probably uncommon reason. I am normally quite happy using Nikon dx cameras (back to the D90), always considering fx too expensive and heavy. But, I have a D7000 body that I use to attach to a microscope. the one problem is that the dx has the smaller sensor and consequently a smaller field or view, which restricts the observed image from the scope. Hence the D600. Having tried this out taking random snaps with my 50mm f1.4 ("portrait lens" on dx) and found that it is a great camera, with full compatibility (connection, batteries etc.) with my D7200. Love it! Good review by there way.
Yeah, the shutter is quite hard and loud, especially when you're used to many of the mirrorless cameras, phone cameras or even many DSLRs from back then like the 5d mark iii. But it is still a nice sounding shutter in my opinion. Thank you very much for watching as well as for commenting, very much appreciated it. I wish you a good time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
Hi, I am sorry if you don't like my content... I was wondering what made my content a "fake news" and how did my channel became "fake news media" to you? I am really sorry again that you didn't like my content but providing some points of improvements would be appreciated... I will do my best to improve my future contents. Are you just visiting Japan or have you moved here? I've been following your work and would love to meet you if the chance ever arises! I'm a street and sport photographer and also worked as tour guide in Tokyo for a while. If you ever need a guide in Tokyo, give me a shout!
So, when you are talking about the "Old ways" and "Things to be aware of" when using a DSLR what you actually mean is you have to use your brain instead of letting the camera make the decisions for you?
I mean that the process is different but also refreshing. Everything with mirrorless cameras can be faster and a lot more precise that sometimes you don't feel as connected to the process as with using older DSLRs. And of course, with the older technology comes more patient, which is not a bad thing. That said, whether using modern mirrorless cameras or older DSLRs like this, you still have to set your own settings, think about the composition, dial in the right values, etc. But with older DSLRs, the shutter sound is louder, so think about how it will affect the environment around you, the metering system is not that accurate so think about your exposure compensation a bit more, etc. I hope that helps clarifying my words a bit more. I am deeply sorry for the confusion and I will do my best to improve my future contents. I thank you very much for watching, I wish you a good time, stay safe and have fun shooting
I wanted to make a video about the D700 and/or 5d classic as cheap alternative setups but there were too many of them already and the D700 and the 5d classic has come up in price in recent months. So a D800 is about €250(body only) where I live and the D700 and 5d classic are between €200-€240 (body only), which makes it hard to pay the a little bit more just to get the D800 (at least from where I live). But the D700 as well as the 5d classic are still great cameras that still outputs great results. I thank you very much for watching as well as for sharing your thoughts. I wish you a good time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)

Can anybody answer me a few question for a beginner photographer: 1. Should I save photos in JPG or RAW formats? Currently saving them in JPG, and any potential edits that I do are done on JPGs 2. How do you organize/save your photos/projects? For example, I can save every event in it's own folder (named by year_event for example), but how do I continue working with this in software? Do I import entire folders into the softwares, or just photos that I want to edit? And where and how do I save the edited photos? Back in the some folder where the original was, just with some suffix? Or are there better solutions?
Congratulations on getting the lens! The price has definitely came down within the past year and you can get this amazing for a super low price tag nowadays. Despite the low price, it is still an amazing lens and I am sure that you will produce really great results with it! :-) I thank you very much for watching as well as for the kind words. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting! :-)
The ef version is still good, I got many memorable shots with the EF version. :-) It is still a very capable and durable lens for sure and I am sure you have gotten many good images about of it as well. I thank you very much for watching as well as for sharing your story, very much appreciated it. I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
I got the stickers from the local camera store as well as on Aliexpress. I actually recommend getting the ones on Aliexpress because you can choose many types of camera stickers as well as different patterns. I hope that helps. I thank you very much for watching, I wish you a great time, stay safe and have fun shooting :-)
Between the two 70-200mm . But this is one of the issues with canon. I think they are fantastic cameras but I’m on Sony currently and I only need to take two lenses now. Tamron 35-150mm 2-2.8 and a 24mm 2.8 or maybe a 50mm instead. Canon customers unnecessarily starved of 3rd party lenses.
