I wish they didn't bother with those stupid shrines in the final mission, a straight up fight would have been way cooler than just waiting on the edge of the map for the enemy to come piecemeal
The developers should really put more thought into the Dark Throne mission Imperium faction. Obviously the destruction of Cadia and widening of the Eye of Terror is to expand and keep alive the franchise and the canon going. But having mankind just destroy the very the thing that could save them without knowing really makes feel sorry for these characters even if their fiction. At this rate, the writers are going to put the Chaos Gods out of the job.

Abaddon, being the true tactical genius that he is, sends in his battlefleets one at a time to confront Admiral Spire instead of all attacking at once. No wonder it took 13 Black Crusades to destroy Cadia.
I don't like those space altars being in the final battle. It just encourages you to sit in the back and wait for the enemy to come to you; I see what they were going for, but I would just rather face a massive enemy fleet with a huge pop cap on both sides in the open instead. Really make it feel like it actually is the entire black fleet, not just us catching the Vengeful Spirit with its pants down. I hope that a modder can change that or something, nothing else but that.

The voice acting in both Gothic Armada games is such a stand out feature, ESPECIALLY Spire. The guy does such an epic job, the delivery of the line "Warmaster Abaddon, you no longer have anywhere left to hide..." is literal Oscar worthy for me, you can hear the gritted teeth and passion in his voice. I'd follow Spire into the Eye of Terror after a speech like that! I really hope this isn't the last outing for Spire, if GW announced another game and Spire was somehow returning again, I'd buy it just on that.
Not going to lie, from 7:05 onwards it sounds like there's something in the air vents of the command vessels that makes Spire and all aboard his command deck slurred in their tongues. Did their ship's machine spirit make the crew just drunk enough to not be swayed by immaterial shite?
I beat this game on my first playthrough at 136 turns medium and I have to say once you got the flagship of the Ultramarines under your control everything was so much easier. the damn tyranid hive boss was harder than the final battle just cause of the sheer amount of range and fire power the Macragge's Honour brings.
well considering the end game amount of leadership you can bring is literally let you bring 1 Battlestar/Super Battleship (Macgrage's Honour) and 2 Cheapest Battleships...
@@ArariaKAgelessTraveller amateur! You can actually customize leadership level and fleet points for the campaign before starting a new one You can easily go into the lagfest 20’s of ships level tho. I know cause I did.
I just got through this mission by myself and by the skin of my teeth. My god, i've never had my combative situational awareness tested so much as to always checking over my right and left shoulder every time I take down a contact. I felt like I had a guardian angel watching over me once I knew I started ascending back to safer levels of the sewers.
Abandon the Despoiler is both the best and worst Chaos lord in history. While he has made great strides for chaos; made mankind and alien races alike suffer and unleashed the fury of chaos time and again, he has also hurt chaos to great extremes. Abandon has gotten billions upon billions of his followers killed; and cost chaos countless war machines and warriors in his pursuit of killing the emperor. In addition he also shows no particular allegiance to any of the chaos gods; which means if he falls out of favor of any of them his black crusades can backfire. Abandon also shows no particular interest in the ideals of the gods; in my mind he should have died eons ago
