On that your first culture shock: Yorubas are more guilty of speaking their language to anybody they see. You're just noticing it now that it is being done to you. Even when they know you don't speak their language, if you find yourself in the midst of Yorubas, they'll completely disregard the fact that you can't understand them and be conversing in Yoruba among themselves, which is rude.
I get your point. I dont mind if you speak your language when conversing with other counterparts that understands you, as long as the conversation does not have to do with me. But randomly speaking your language to strangers you dont know and then making them feel guilty for not understanding is what I don’t support 🤗
