Me too! It's been a while, and we are heading towards the busy part of the year! I am hoping to get a bit of time to pop out and do some cafe journaling again soon, it's a lovely way to unwind at the end of the week! Hope you have been going well over there! 😄

Oh yay! I will do another update again on the ink soon, I am planning to use the ink mainly for sketching and painting. I will also use it for writing occasionally but only with a dip pen as I still feel that even with all my filtering it would clog a fountain pen! I am also worried about mould issues. I plan to only use it with certain nibs and brushes and then make sure that everything is cleaned with vinegar afterwards. I put so much tea tree oil in the second time around - the house smelled amazing but I still don't want to risk it in a pen! 🤣

I hope you are doing well! :) Sometimes people ask me why I don't use carbon paper for transfers, but I find this method easier even if it takes a little longer with that extra step of adding the graphite! I do try with house plants and have gotten better with the over the years. Thank you! I have been drawing my whole life, and taken after school and night classes where I can! I only started painting in 2015, and it has been so much fun! My livestream here on RU-vid was a random decision just to get over my fear of that first stream, and I don't think there will be a schedule for those. Maybe just one a month when I can squeeze them in? I am so glad you also enjoyed the birdsong in the video! Zealandia is a beautiful sanctuary, if you ever get to visit New Zealand I recommend it!

You should definitely give it a go! It’s heaps of fun just to mess about and try out all the tools! Sometimes I do use a little tripod when I’m out, but this time I mostly just held the phone in one hand with my arm braced against the table! I have also rested my phone against things like the sugar pot in the past, I feel like that’s less intrusive than setting up to film with a tripod! I am still a little shy filming in crowded public places! 😅🎨📷

@@SquibbleDesign I am SO shy when it comes to recording anything in public. I just ordered a little phone stand from Amazon, and I'm going to try it when I'm out at a coffee. It's more discreet than a tripod. I admire the people who just film themselves in public! I don't know why it frightens me :D

@@stationery.shenanigans Me too! I am getting a little better at it, but still definitely not when I am in a crowded place! I also have yet to use the tiny lapel microphone in public, I should really try it and see how it goes. I have mostly been using it at home while filming! I would love to hear how it goes with your new phone stand when you try it out! :)

I am writing the little intro pieces from scratch, but the bulk of the music you hear for the rest of the video I am creating with virtual modular synthesis using a program called VCV Rack. I am still learning the ropes, and my brain feels like it is wading through treacle. I still don't understand a lot of the technical aspects but I am having fun! The insect is a native New Zealand weta, they are basically just very large grasshoppers! Super chill though for the most part - they just like to be left alone so they can enjoy themselves! Hello! I am so pleased with the business card palette, I took it out on the weekend and it worked really well! The only thing is, the adhesive magnetic strips still seem to lift up a bit at the ends. I may have to get out the superglue... :D That is a great idea about Yupo paper, thank you! I think I may have one of their tiny paper pads in a drawer, so I will look for that and see if it works. Perhaps I can use some double-sided tape to attach it to the lid! Have a lovely day!

It is so much fun and I can't wait to do longer treks up to the back of the sanctuary when the weather is better! In the pen - I am using Platinum Carbon ink, and yes it is waterproof! I have also been using the ink in my Platinum Preppy for a while now which is part of my urban watercolour sketching kit. :D

It is very beautiful! We are lucky to have such an amazing nature sanctuary right in the heart of Wellington city!

It was a super satisfying project! I am very happy with my little magnets, the only thing I would say is that they are definitely decorative and wouldn't hold anything up! But for cuteness? A+! I can't wait to see cockatiel magnets if you do make them! 🥳🦜
