Thanks for watching! so glad you are finding the videos useful! 😀 for Trigonometric ratio videos try the video posted today: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QLzmQAAjKjI.html or these other videos on trig Intro and Sin: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KNN3-2YXGFM.html or a newer but longer video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fXUwN9dnXNw.html Cos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9dDl0sN97sU.html (or the new longer video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sOXK3H1bKNI.html) Tan: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l9zIl7HHDZo.html or if you use the channel search for trig: www.youtube.com/@mathtutorme5299/search?query=trig you will find many other videos on trigonometry
for distance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uJv_swB3cE4.html for height videos, I have some trig word problems that involve calculating heights... is this what you are after? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UE7JAUKjXOA.html
and lastly, for standard identities, were you thinking trigonometric identities like this video, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-joC0Vhq97qA.html or binomial type standard identities?
This is a relatively old video, but I have an IGCSE mathematics extended exam tomorrow, and wasn't able to understand this section of trigonometry for the life of me. Thank you so so much for your help!!!
Its part of the advanced math curriculum for year 10 in New South Wales Australia. Known locally as maths 5.3. Every school program varies by state or country which might by why your year 10 program might not include this topic.
Hi Jo, I have been helping my grandson in doing maths for Year 8 (Australia, NSW). He has his textbook but He needs to consolidate and practice for his exams. I found your videos and the way you explain quite useful and practical. I am a retired geoscientist but I would say that teaching my teenage grandson is quite a challenge. Somehow, part of my retirement is going to be helping in maths and science to my grandchildren. I certainly will be using your way to help them. Likely, your videos covered most of the topics that I need to use. Thank you. By the way, I was unable to find the corresponding worksheet for this video. Anyway, no big deal I just copied the example for further "Practise work". Thank you.
To find a reference angle you always want to find the acute angle to the horizontal line. For example in the case of sin240. 240 falls in the third quadrant, if you subtract 240 - 180 you get the 60 degrees which you can then find the exact value of from the exact value triangles. I hope this answers your question... unless your question was about the exact value of sin240 which starts by taking 240 -180 = 60? If you could clarify your question ill try to give a better answer. All the best.
