That is such a true statement! I have always been into Hot Rod since I was a child because of my father and my uncle. And now I own a bad ass 68 Camaro that I built for four years and is simply beautiful! I owe that to my father,the best man I have ever known in my life! But the sad thing is my friend, who’s gonna keep this going the newer generation just wants Subarus and Nissans. They have no interest in the old cars. It’s very sad.

One of my favorite road-trips was in a 71 NOVA. Sold my camera to buy gas to get it back home when we were completely shot on our last leg. Guy wanted to keep the film. Told him how far we drove and each photo on the film roll was from one state, and I would rather leave the car there at his gas pump and walk away than give up that roll of film. He told me “nevermind man just fill it up”. We had a deal for fifteen dollars when gas was around 1.65. I was pretty sure the tank was more than our deal so I told him I would do the math and he stopped me. “Just fill it up” I wanted to make real sure. “I think that’s going to be more than that”. He said “it doesn’t matter brother. Fill it and get home.” I’ll never forget that guy.
