I don't think they make them any more, shame because Is till use mine regularly. The market have moved towards battery drills. But I see many other places like FarmerTech still sell a drill attachment. www.farmertec.com/One-set-of-Drill-Kit-For-STIHL-017-018-021-023-025-MS170-MS180-MS210-MS230-MS250-With-6-Tooth-Sprocket-Drum-p722549.html
This is a great video, @DairyNZ! Tracking "pulse" via rotation of the trailer wheel for pump control is clever. We appreciate the in-depth explainer of your physical setup, as well as showing how you've configured the I/O and conditional logic through the X-410's embedded UI. Glad to see you enjoy using our PLCs!
I'm planning an upgrade in the next 6-12 months. I'll probably use the X-400M, so I could look at adding sensors to monitor pond depth, etc. I really like the look of the X-422 Weather Suit Controller. Having a weather station connected to the internet that will automatically update to say Weather Underground, is a brilliant feature. I've had weather stations connected to a PC before, but the X-422 would be a much simpler and stable setup.
Not near enough ball media, it has be be 30% full minimum, you want the balls to run up the wall of the drum about one third the way to the top and cascade down and have a constant consistant cascade with the jar not rocking back and forth, your speed looks much too slow due to the balls not cascading, but I think it could be due to you having no where near enough ball media, you are wasting ur time milling this way and will achieve no better result if milling comps such as black powder, than you would mixing fine powdered chess thru a screen.
guy#1 "WTH would you need something like this? guy#2 " I can't hold a chainsaw for a couple hours straight." guy#1 " uuuuuhuh, but you just picked up, held, and wrestled 2000lb of logs and branches tho..." guy#2 "deeeeerp" guy#1 "yup, good job...or good luck and keep those thumbs tucked."
What are those irregularly shaped white patches located periodically throughout the tube? Seems to be reappearing at somewhat regular intervals. Maybe something to do with being near the inlets?
It's backed on milk. Often, it occurs due to poor cold water rinse prior to a hot wash. The hot water solidifies the milk, making it very difficult to remove. I removed it with a pressure washer and a drain cleaning nozzle.
Wonderful video, excellently explained in an easy-to-understand format! I have a remote-controlled observatory 5 hours away from my home and also use the X410, to signal the garage door controller that opens (and keeps open) the observatory roof. This is in turn controlled by a micro PC that uses a weather sensor cluster of anemometer, humidity, light, and rain sensors to determine when it is "safe" to keep the roof open at night. The PC will instruct the X410 to send an "open" pulse to the gate controller before the gate controller automatic close time, which means if any of the components, including the X410 or internet connectivity fail, the roof will automatically be closed by the gate controller after 3 minutes. The gate closer operates on its own 24V batteries so even if my main batteries or solar fail it will close and stay closed.
Your observatory setup sounds super interesting! Thanks for sharing how you're using the X-410 as part of the system. It's cool that the micro PC offers a holistic view of weather conditions. And you're smart to include redundant measures in case a component malfunctions.
A few questions ... 1) will this read the under skin (not on collar) microchips used to identify dogs and cats? 2) I'd like to put the antenna under a platform the dog steps up onto, can this be designed to go thru the wood platform up to shoulder height 10" or so? 3) to adjust that height is it changing the size of the antenna or is it software controlled? 4) I'll assume this can record the tags and activate a switch? Maybe open or close the switch for preset list of tags? 5) could this be set to detect when the microchip dog is approaching the antenna rather than just passing by? Thx
Ingenious! You have a marketable product in that. File an intent to patent application FAST! That way at least you have established prior artwork with the patent office. It does not cost much to do at least that and it does offer you some protection. or Please do a follow up video so we can build one, ;-)
Awesome! You broke my heart ! when you flipped it on it’s side ,then put fuel in it! I thought for sure you were going to use it as a saw mill and run that log through it ! But no you showed me you are just a mortal man ! Broke my heart! Real nice fabrication and I appreciate the way you filmed all the important things that you need to make it work! Broke my heart!
Excellent idea! At first it looked like a hazard to fall on, but then realized the clever throttle lever incorporated into it for safety (and convenience). Could've used this back when I heated with wood!
