Why do Europeans often sit on the floor or on the lawn on the street? Central Asians also like to eat sitting on the floor, but they only learned about tables and chairs in the middle of the 20th century and haven't quite gotten used to them yet. Apparently, Europeans also did not learn much earlier about the possibility of sitting on a chair and therefore sitting on the floor is still familiar to them
It seems to be a Western European thing, I noticed it too. In Croatia, you would never sit there because it's considered dirty. Maybe in more Western countries people don't spit on the floor and the dogs don't shit?
The tram in the thumbnail has not been in use since 2017... since they didnt fit in to our city rail network at all... they kept destroying the rails. Currently all of the stock of our trams are locally made Skoda-Transtech Artics, or older Valmet-Strömberg MLNRV's.
@@wmatravels Just felt like adding that comment, since I just graduated from the course to become a tram driver here. I have to say, I like driving the MLNRV's more than the Artics... even though they are from the 70's and have multitude of issues...
