See the thing is, I don't know about this channel or what the video was about, but I recognized Michael Sheen ONLY from his back and his hair in the thumbnail. And I was kinda hoping I'd be wrong because now I feel Weird that I recognized someone just from their back (without my glasses).
John is a legend! Absolutely love him! Had the great privilege of meeting him at the Porthcawl night. Dream come true for me! True gentleman and genius. ❤️ ❤️
Had the privilege of seeing his show, absolutely awesome. Legend, gentleman, wise and all good.his secret to a long happy marriage is to lie a lot was hilariously wise but true. Thank you Mr Lydon for lifting our spirit and love of life. Steve and Lisa had a brilliant time.
How beautiful vídeo about his family, it's amazing when you know about how was your ancestors' life and how all that they did resulted in who you are. That's so powerful! 😊Of course they wanted a Michael Sheen, we all are glad he's in this world 😘
I've been following him for years. The spark went on with the character of Aro, but I must admit that with Aziraphale he completely conquered me. Michael Sheen has a special place in my heart, and it will be like this until eternity.
Omg! Totally. I love his nuanced performance as Lucian. I saw him in high school in Underworld and since then, spotted him in many things and was never disappointed. I feel the same as you do! 🤣 He’s relatable.
I adore this man. Just being himself is overwhelmingly charming. I have Welsh and Irish dna myself. Watching him as Aziraphale in Good Omens was the best thing from 2019 for me. But the Sheen smile can’t be beat.
Feels like it! He’s warm and approachable. Benedict Cumberbatch isn’t, as an example of the opposite kind of personality. You could say that if you were to meet Michael on the street, he’d definitely hold a conversation, but Cumberbatch would be quite aloof and try to hide as he’s extremely private now.
Dr Michael Sheehan or Sheen, the fact that he has dual Celtic heritage should be a source of even greater pride surely? I'm Irish-Welsh, it's how I proudly self identify!
So... let me get this straight.... THIS IS/WAS a BBC production and they never sought permission to use the music??? Really? The ESTABLISHMENT'S CHANNEL the BBC did NOT ask for permission they just went ahead and used it? THAT says shed loads to me... But then why am i not suprised? I watched this documentary when it came out and i think they did this on purpose so all these yrs later we CAN'T ENJOY IT.... something here smells like week old seaweed... IT STINKS. FRACK YOU
I have uploaded the segment about the 1980s (Stonehenge, New Age Travellers etc) on my channel. That segment didn't have problems with music copyright, so that was the only bit I could upload without the sound being taken off.
At one time we had great festivals, but most now are just excuses to make lots of money and sell some corporate bullshit. In terms of atmosphere about the closest you'll get to the Stonehenge/pre 92 Glastonbury experience (last time I went was 94 because Johnny Cash was on and other than JC the magic had gone) are the larger bike rally's like the Farm Yard or Stormin' sure the vibe is very different but the atmosphere is closer to an old style rock festival.
Festivals brittania,,,brill prog.can't believe police force to disband a peaceful event never liked Thatcher,i,m from s.Wales, home of miners, who (Thatcher) used unlawful methods to break their strike, but to give orders to DESTROY travellers ,their homes, security,et all was just too much. Then change the law so no-one can gather with more than 9 mates to have a sing is draconian, no wonder so many people hated her,she loved a war,the Falklands gave her another term, but her fav. war was against the working class
Until coperate bollocks moved to Glasto it ruined. something very special, i was at the very first fayre it opened. my, m ind, and made light where there was no color, i went to Glasto as often as i could, then one year the fence went up, i new it was over, alas but i did go in 2006 but had a ruckus with mean fiddler security bunch of morons, told me to pack up my pa i had taken(fuckoff). Anyhow as it turned out they were to busy being fascists else where all weekend, on went the system, didn't get. to see one band, but, i had a good time, never again though, the freedom and spirit hes been ripped from the festival, now it has no heart or soul, and thats sad. In 85 it was reggae.festival, hot sun great vibe, bolt croped a locked gate to get into drove my vdub to left of main stage and stayed there all weekend, man i got stoned, great times, sthere has been festvals i ve been to over the years. that are better than Glasto but its my spiritual home, When Mary Eavis died then Glasto changed(RIP) Mary made the fayre happen, bless her she gave me a pint of milk, you could buy it from the farm then, magical days, lol Skullduggery.
was at the IOW fest in '70,and saw hendrix last live performance, but as usual, the mighty Who stole the show, but what a fuckin blast that weekend was.still got friends today i met there.the coppers didnt know what to make of the tsunami of people that descended on them.i could write TWO books about that weekend alone. great times.
I used to have a recording of this which I lost so thanks very much for putting it up. I spent so much of my time at many of the events shown on in this programnme, cheers
