One thing I will say, many of these seem to lack some sort of finishing blow. The large and very large swords in particular don't really end so much as the player just sort of stops hitting the enemy.
OG Demons Souls is better in every way... Bluepoint took too many designer freedoms that fundamentally changed how the game looks that also ruins a lot of the lore. If they would've stuck with an actual remaster instead of making their version of what they thought Demon Souls was, I wouldn't be so critical of it. But as someone who played the PS3 Demons Souls at launch. PS5's Demons Souls is a complete disaster and a blight to the real Miyazaki eldensoulsborne games. I mean come on... They even rubbed it in our face with the classic view in photo mode... Fuck Bluepoint, Fuck the abortion of Demons Souls, and long live the PS3 version!!!
The original looks way more dated, but the style, sound and impact of the spells feels more vibrant. The remake looks excellent but the spells look and sound flat.
This is the kind of stuff Elden Ring needs, I love the inclusion of blood splattering all over the player character, but this brutality is PEAK FromSoft, even if it wasn’t made by them. I hope they take notes, because it’s incredibly frustrating to wield such powerful weapons and to not be able to witness its destruction.
The sounds in the remake are so stupid lol , it's like the devs thought putting in gun sounds would be cooler. Also the toxic clouds magic in remake is completely generic, why remove the scream, couldn't find a gun sound for that? 🤣
@@bamban_garcia5562 Well you can build equal pc for around 1000euros but then you must remember that pc are open platform you can do so much more with one also you can upgrade it with time also you have control over graphics resolution etc. Overall in 2024 everyone should buy desktop pc because you need one to work and study.
@@DasistriteFromsoftware has been using the same engine since Demon Souls but refined and updated to the present day. This means that the development staff is always 100% familiar with what they handle and create to ensure a light and recognizable development flow. That's why the way DS1 is structured doesn't vary too much from how ER is structured. This, while giving an advantage that helps development, also creates performance and optimization issues, as Fromsoftware is still using the same engine for over 10 years and that's why Elden Ring having acceptable graphics and fantastic art its optimization is terrible, as the ways to make the game lighter are archaic.
FromSoft should learn from this... ( iknow they did Demon souls for Ps3 ) They have used the same borring ASS finishing moves from Dark Souls 1 to Elden Ring... Cmon FromSoft! You can do better then that!
Love the fact that every single animation are different while in the original its all the same especially that enchanted spells Also i wish every single soulsgame from ds1 to ER to have this kind of graphics and and engine
All of these are so well done, unique animations for most of them, great sound design, just great. with the sole exception of firestorm, man that one they just copied one firepillar a couple times & called it a day. Otherwise bluepoint did fromsoft justice in this aspect
