Thanks so much this helped save me some money because I was going to take it to a shop to have it looked at and it would have cost me so much for a10 minute fix
Hey man. I have the PS3228 and it stopped providing pressure after the second time using it. You think this could be the issue? Same AAA pump. Apparently they’re garbage. No soap or anything ran through it.
I've watched a lot of tutorials. You explained the steps better than anyone else. Too bad you don't do chain saw videos. I need to replace the cylinder & piston. The videos are all useless.
I'm 40 and I have never owned a riding mower. I've done my fair share of work on vehicles but don't know the first thing about riding lawn mowers. This video is super helpful as I have the exact model of mower. I've got floor jacks for cars, a transmission jack, bottle jacks, etc, and several good tree stumps so hopefully I can get it in a safe spot for me to do this procedure. Next for me to learn is how to wash the deck....I see the hose fitting on it, lol. Thanks again.
Is sparks flying out the muffler a government conspiracy theory? They're all layer's not mechanics or engine engineers so they might think sparks fly out of mufflers like a ramon candle or a black powder gun. I've never seen sparks fly out any muffler unless it's been straight piped(muffler removed) and the sparks are tiny and extremely short lived.
Great video, thanks. Unfortunately, this fix didn’t start my one-month-old Toro mower. Would you recommend spark plug replacement as step 2, or something else? Thank you.
It's unfortunate that the mulch kit isn't something that you can easily put on or take off when conditions of the lawn would not be ideal for mulching, such as in the early Spring when grass tends to be more moisture-rich than in the Summer.
I ordered a PTO Cable and it came with only one spring. My PTO Cable came with 2 springs like the one in your video. The new PTO Cable stated it replaces the old one, but the new one doesn’t work or have enough tension. Thanks for any advice. I have the same riding lawnmower.
Does the blade idler arm supposed to sit down in between that other piece of metal sticking up or is it supposed to move to the side when the blade handle is moved/engaged?
I just put a new blade on (used a 1/2 impact so I know it’s tight) and I’m sure it wasn’t in the exact spot on the star as the old one. Now I noticed (it could have been there before) a fluttering noise when the blade is engaged. It cuts great but I’m wondering if it’s a belt or bearing/pully issue, or if that noise is normal. The mower is about two years old, stored in a shed and only mows a 1/2 acre lot. Thoughts? And is there any PM that can be performed on the bearings?
Dude thank you! Picked up a mower with this engine for cheap on marketplace because it wouldn’t run, put a new jet in and it started up on the first pull!
Not like that on my ditchwitch 750. .its a tiny hydraulic hose..i had to buy a oil extractor from harborfreight...took 15 minutes or so we spent 2 days trying before it would not come out a qaurt wss all that came out.😊😅..ķķòò
@@D-MAN107 pump works great 150.00 recommended you get one takes 15 minutes sucks it bone dry..hooks to compressor...and put straw down dipstick hole...wish I bought one for other equipment like zero turns long time ago love thar thing..no mess...
This worked great for me! A note to those who had difficulty inserting the new jet mechanism: the tolerances are very tight on this part, and if you bypassed the OEM Briggs and Stratton part in favor of a $5 Chinese knockoff you may have found that the new part "won't fit", or insert fully, like mine did. But examining the old and new parts I could see that they were basically the identical part within some few 100ths of an inch tolerance. So I inserted the jet as far as I could by hand, then rested the carburetor's mounting flanges above the jaws of a vice, and lightly tapped on alternate corners of the white Delrin part with a small hammer until it seated fully into the carburetor. Voila, after reassembly and pumping the throttle handle to get gas moving, the mower started on its first pull!
This was super helpful. Thank you very much! I took mine apart like you said and the Pistons move fine. I sprayed it with WD-40 bolted everything back on started it up but no water pressure. I had already ordered the replacement part then after an hour, I decided to try it one last time, and it started right up and with normal pressure.
