Have the same gas heater . When I turn it on the temperature is not the actual temp of the pool . I get a AFS ERROR . It ignited and turns off and recycled over . When I try and set pool setting comes up MAX as well as Spa . Sometimes the heater will stay on for 15 minutes and go off . I changed high limit switch and AGS . Still same issue . Amy help appreciated . My heater is 2 years old !
@@BLUESGUITAROCKER thx for watching. I would think that is too new to be the circuit board. Does the heater sit outside? There may be some sort of obstruction blocking flow. Mice, spiders, etc. I’ve never had that problem, but I’ve heard it’s possible. U may want to look for that. Or possible the thermistor?
@@MLR-jw5em Thanks for watching. I have had no issues with staining. I keep the ionizer copper piece cleaned. Maybe 2 or 3 times per season. I purchased an extra one and just rotate them as I clean one. I have no complaints.
@@nmbr3fan well thx for watching and trying them. I’ve had a few people tell me they didn’t work. It’s quite possible it may be specific species of woodpecker that do or don’t like these things. Depending on the material on ur home they are pecking at, especially if it’s wood, u may need to treat the wood to kill their food source, which is usually bugs. Good luck.
@@MonicaPacheco-rt3hc thx for watching Monica. I believe it would. You would want to research how long to leave it in the pool, and I think (not 100% sure because it was 20 months ago I bought this) there may be sizes? Related to gallons of water. You should investigate that.
@@choupiechoupie1830 thx for watching. I have left it in all summer. I don’t know the ppm off the top of my head, but I have it on some copper test strips I use to test my water.
@@joemattingly5276 thx for watching. That’s just a small oil filter wrench used to loosen oil filters. It’s not required, but it might make it easier to loosen.
@@asanga.k Thx for watching. It has worked wonderfully for us. This is year 2. I do have an inline chlorine tablet canister that I have at the lowest setting to help chlorinate my pool, and other than when my pool company opened my pool, I have used 2 gallons of liquid chlorine so far this year. Prior to this device, and with the chlorine tablets, I used to use a gallon per week. More if it was sunny out.
I have a caribbean clear copper ionization system on our pool, have had since we built in 2007. We DO NOT use chlorine never have no need to. Our pool stays clear all year. We do have to however use 1.5 gallons of clorox bleach in the skimmer every Sunday after vaccuum.
Sooo you don’t use Chlorine but you do use 1.5 gallons of chlorine each week after vacuuming which is close to what you would normally use without the ionizer. Why you need the ionizer then?
Thx for watching April. Yes, you will want to get the cleaner and clean the copper and spring periodically. U will also have to replace the copper eventually. Over time it will be eaten away by all the bad stuff, which is the point. Thx, good luck.
Sorry Jordan you wasted your money and sadly many others on here will too.. I used the piece of copper pipe in the skimmer method many years ago and yes it works, no electricity needed, never any algae at all. However about 10 years ago I discovered Copper Sulfate and started using it. I have a 13k pool and use 1 tablespoon diluted a month. Never ever have I had any Algae since. No green hair, no pool stains on my gunite pool here in Florida. Stop listening to these people who don't have a clue, maybe they work for pool companies or don't even have a pool. So may gimmicks when this is the easiest cost effective solution out there.. Look at the ingredients of most pool Algaecides 5-7% Copper Sulfate. When you buy Copper Sulfate small crystals (Amazon, eBay) and dissolve it, it is 20% concentrate so don't think 1 tablespoon a month is to little, adjust if your pool is larger. That is all you need and you'll NEVER have Algae again. The key is Don't over do it thinking more is better, it's not. It does reduce the amount of Chlorine you use but not by a significant amount. Do the research, stop wasting your money.
First of all thx for taking the time to watch the video. Based on some of your comments, there may be a little confusion on your part. I’m not listening to anyone. What I try to explain in my video ( again, maybe I missed the mark based on your comments) is that this solar powered, very affordable ionizer SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the amount of chlorine required to maintain my 35K pool. By probably 75%. Significant money savings. And as a bonus. No algae. It has worked for me. I’m sorry for your poor experience in the past. Good luck.
@@jordanseverydaydiy4373 Jordan Copper Sulfate will cost you penny's a month will very little effort at all. I had neighbors who had this unit and they threw it away after using the Copper Sulfate for a month as I noted. Not trying to be critical but why waste your time and money when there is a much easier and better solution... You'll never ever have Algae, any kind ever again.
I have one also and i have chlorines tablets floating i checked my chlorine level and it was at .5 ppm and never goes higher is this normal does anyone know?
Thx for watching Marine. And thx for ur service if that’s what the name is for. I don’t know the answer to ur question. For the most part I just run the tablets as well, but when I do have to add a gallon of liquid chlorine it does ramp up. I use the strips so I don’t know the exact number put it does jump to pool high spa low. But I still use less than a quarter of the chlorine I used to.
@@marine1161your chlorine won’t get any higher without adding chlorine to the pool. This floater is capturing minerals that chlorine gets eatin up by, thus reducing your chlorine amounts. Hope that helps
Just to the left of the computer screen, there's a toggle switch. Toggle that so the generator doesn't come on if power is lost while there's no oil in it! The light on the right side will be red. You can see the switch in 11:41 (I/O) switch.
My local Generac dealer is very knowledgeable, honest, and helpful. He has given me instruction on a lot of "do-it-myself" maintenance and always is available when I have questions. 😊
I did order the patch and twirly things. Woodpecker pecked 3 holes on side of house and pulled out insulation. Paid 240 to have holes patched and hang up twirly things . The bird is back.
I’m sorry Joyce. I have a had a few people comment that they may not work on all woodpecker species. My guess is, since your woodpeckers seem perhaps overly aggressive, you may want to have ur house sprayed. There may be a good size food supply for them within ur exterior walls.
I know that your video and review is from last year but I have been on the fence about whether or not to use this in my above-ground pool and with your patience and knowledge of explaining it to the rest of us It has made me realize what decision to make and I thank you for that very much. I will be getting one of these and I want to say thank you for taking the time to inform the rest of us and sharing your experience and knowledge with us
You bet, and thanks for watching. You won’t be disappointed. I already have it in my pool this year. It’s the first thing I put in it. You will be amazed at the chlorine eating minerals this picks up, the first time u go to clean it. I also recommend the little cleaning kit. I actually purchased a second copper diode that I just rotate. While one is being used I clean the other. They will eventually need to be replaced once they are all “eatin” away by the minerals. Good luck.
Can you still use clarifier and alge control? I just like the way the clarifier makes my pool smell. And i got lots of pollen and such... algea control. I do it every 7 days . This copper is all new to be but I'm wanting to try it! Thanks. I subscribed!
I put up strings of octagonal mirrors several feet long. Within ONE HOUR of hanging them, I got a new hole literally 5" from the lowest hanging mirror on one of the strings. It's hard to believe that a twisted strip would work instead, but I have to find SOME way of getting rid of these things. Next option, netting. How these pests can be protected by our dumb government is completely befuddling, since they are everywhere in Michigan in large numbers... laws should protect people before birds that aren't actually endangered. Thanks for the video...
Thx for watching. I still have them hanging on my house. No peckers. I did do some upgrading to the hanging method and purchased stainless steel fishing leads instead of fishing line, which occasionally broke. Good luck.
My neighbor has mirrors hanging all over the side of her house. I HATE THEM. I can't enjoy my backyard anymore because I'm constantly being blinded by the sun. We have to keep the blinds closed as well, otherwise we're blinded in our kitchen and dining room. There has to be another way to stop my neighbor's pecker from blinding me.
Thx for watching Lee. Maybe u should recommend these reflectors to ur neighbor? These r certainly not harsh like what u r describing. Ur question at the end I can’t answer for u. Good luck.
The problem with the reflectors is my pecker comes in the early morning before sunrise ???think it’s funny..not when it sounds like drilling above your bedroom ceiling..🇨🇦
No one has had high levels of copper when you test your water? Or is everyone using metal removers? Found out about ionizers last year, but have been on the fence.
Hey Julian, thx for watching. I’m sorry I don’t totally understand ur question. I do not have high copper levels (not sure why I would?) and in my research, this ionizer is what is removing the “metals” from the water by attaching them to the copper diode.
@@jordanseverydaydiy4373 I started using the ionizer, have not tested my water, but it does work great, even when my ph is high. I’ll update here. Either way, to the gentlemen with high copper, get yourself a sequestering agent, maybe something from culator, and the culator metal eliminator and pull that copper out.
@@davecullum9631some have silver in them as well to balance the ionization. Are you on well water or city, either way you may want to test what’s going into your pool. Also are you using a sand filter system or a cartridge, lastly are you on a saltwater setup or chlorinated?
Finally, after 2 months of having what paragraph pecking on my walls and actually getting into them, I finally have a way to get them out for good without harm
