This is so smooth! Super inviting. Nice seeing groups together on same play, good idea. Gives me a comfortable feeling to go back to class. Thank you man! 🙏🏽
But will dance photographers get the hell over the Steadicam soon? For the sweet love of the Lord of Dance? The camera is so busy moving you can't see the movement, the choreography, anything except the camera movement. I bloody effing HATE it when the camera moves more than the dancers. Hey dance photographer! Get over yourself. We all know you want to shoot legit. And that you have exactly eff ALL appreciation of dance per se. But could you please get out of the way so we can SEE the dancers move instead of you flogging the Steadicam?
Like truly: So frustrated with effing camera movement I can't enjoy the damn dance. No. No. Back on 74 is an example of good camera choreography. THIS is utterly gratuitous and it pisses me off because it makes it impossible for me to watch the work of an artist I respect and whose work I admire.
Will, you're adorable and so brilliantly talented. I bet while watching this back you noticed how many times you said "like." It would be amazing to see you on shows like Graham Norton. I bet you've kept working on the way you express your art. Wish you all, all, all the best forever. You've changed me through your moves!
Wooooow. Oh wow. Will, you're amazing. Both of you are. This was beautiful. If this had come out in the late 80s I would've been a much healthier gay man. Not that it's about that. But the lack of fear that it could be about that is gorgeous, direct and inclusive. Kudos to all who worked on this!
What stuns me every time I watch him work is there's no empty movement. There's a meaning in each and every bit of it. He's not really "dancing" he's telling a story with his body, heart and soul. Hope it's not insulting to say he's a brilliant actor... dancing on my heart.
Haven't looked up the other dancer's name yet, but he's equally beautiful. THIS IS A GORGEOUS LITTLE FILM that reminds me why the arts matter, because they can humble us and uplift us at the same time. Weeping with JOY.
