Thank you! I didn't publish it yet, because it was a pain to manage mods, considering some of them are not from steam and you can't do that easily. However, since there are lot of requests I'll try to do that still with my next video if it's possible to do in a simple way, if I don't need to write a big instruction what do you have to install and in what order.
Well I saw a video one man was comparing vanilla TF2/Tf1 on the same device, on similar map, and TF2 had more FPS. + I know there is a performance tuning mod that helps a lot, I don't know if such exists for Tf1. On the other hand someone in comments said TF1 runs better on his laptop. I'm just saying you could try. E.g. 2 hours period on steam, or with other..ways..
@ant2590 At some point I got bored with main game cycle, it became boring and repetetive - connecting lines, transfering cargo, diffrent cities same flow, and then I decided I want to do something different. I wanted to make a route that looks like real, ignoring game economy, small scale, and it's logic overall. A map Mariupol - Volnovahka was an obvious choise, since the Mariupol is the city I lived most of my life, this trains I used to ride a lot, and the route itself was approximately 50km long, so I could fit it on megalomaniac 1:5 map in almost 1:1 scale, cutting corners here and there. And so the work began, based on Google Maps, youtube ride video and my own memories I started recreating it. Same station layouts in 1:1 scale, same turns, distances. Road network and buildings were mostly random, but you could still find some similarities. That is how first 2 videos on my channel appeared. After that I considered a map completed and decided to switch to something different - a train ride along Kahovka reservoir. I've never been on that route, just got a video of it recommended, but I liked this route because of a beautiful scenery and because it had a very different calm and peaceful vibe. This time not only I recreated railway layout, but also spent a lot of time placing buildings and roads manually. Unfortunatelly, even though I spent a lot of time and effort on it, it wasn't very successful, I suppose because what I consider calm peacful, other people consider as boring. That is when I thought I want to do a compeltely opposite thing, fast ride where you push train to it's limit, where you can feel a speed and power. And at that very moment I thought - how could a new, modern, high speed railway look like if there was such task. And so I modernized Mariupol station, rebuilt Aslanovo, added something new here and there, and built a brand new Line B, which should've been that new high speed line. The initial plan was to build it straight to the Volnovaha, but it took so much time, that I decided to drop what I have as a seperate video. And now you see it - "Around the Mariupol by trains". And now I continue builing this Line B to the Volnovakha, as well as rebuilding Mariupol maybe 3rd time to make it look even more realsitic. And as for the speed a power, this is a very compicated task I'm working all the time as well. Because I don't want train to go fast (nothing difficult in sending 300km/h TGV), I want train to feel fast, that is why I'm experimenting with sounds, FOV, motion blur, etc. Now I'm developing my own mode for realstic trains sounds, based on real life recodrings, which takes a lot of time as well, but I hope eventually it works well.
Yeah, first of all I have NEP mod installed. For this video I changed skybox (AltGr+D) to Blur Clear, I believe it comes with the base game, with mie and Rayleigh reduced to 0.5 - 0.8. Also I added pixel motion blur with After Effects and I think that's it.
Wie hast du die Weichenzungen hinbekommen? Das ist sowas, was mich immernoch im Spiel stört, dass die so Stummel haben, das sieht einfach furchtbar aus.
You can check and compare how in fact it looked in a real life, if you want to. I tried to represent the route as much as possible, despite game limitations Thank you! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xTiHL-N6VZI.html
I wonder how were parking wagons added to the stations? It makes the game more realistic. I loved this detail. That's why, I bought and I am downloading it now :) The video is impressive.
Idk, I tried riding a random car through the town and it doesn't look very interesting. Same buildings, roads, etc. And it's much harder to detail a city itself for such perspective or I don't know how to do it.
Hey man i cant put this into Words how amazing this is! But i also beg you to please give us Some advice about what you Need to Focus on Like Minimum Track curvature (for example) Thank you for making this awesome project for us to watch i really hope you get big some day!
Thank you very much! I'm planning to create a video at some point, where I build some station and a part of line, that would explain a lot. But I'm not sure when I can do it, I need to learn more about video editing, commentary, get some plan, etc.
Thank you for answering so quickly! You truly are one of those small youtubers that keeps this platform alive! I look forward to seeing your next video and of course, take your time. I think your editing is already pretty good, just the info you need. Keep going like this
Wow, I never seen such a fantastic map before. It's unbelieveable that you did this in only 200 hours in this realistic grade with this extreme level of details in TPF2. Great work!
It is improved custom mod built on sounds from this one. Basically I have 14 real life recordings for 10,20,30...140 km/h, and you hear one of them at a specific speed. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3123347962
Are we playing the same game? I have Transport Fever 2, and it does not look like this. I mean, this looks like Cities Skylines, mine does even look anything like this. I have a world map with small towns on them, and I have to build railroads between the small towns. How do I get to this?
But do you need to get to this? It's no longer the game about managing traffic and delivering goods, but a map with infinite money and a bunch of mods, which only purpose is to make a good RU-vid ride.
