Green energy isn't so green when its produced from coal. Electric cars and busses actually pollute more when everything is taken into account from manufacturing to using coal fired electricity for their use.
How does one retrofit the basement? I mean while doing a deep energy retrofit, how can I renovate my basement the insulation issue is what I’m hung up on. I would like to have a continuous thermal layer in the exterior but I would have to dig down ~9’ to put a moister control layer and than some rigid insulation. I have been planning this retrofit for sometime now and am stuck on this detail in my pre plan. Will I have to spray foam? But if I spray the interior or rigid the inside won’t that be a risk of moister deteriorating the mason/ concrete. Where would one find some info on this area? Thanks love the Channel
