small tip when fishing at fraser. when you hook the fish try doing 2 hook sets to ensure the fish wont spit the hook, i go fishing up at fraser every year for a week and have been for 4 years
I need to get one of these as well as I have trouble in tight bush tracks with my 1993 LSE LWB Range Rover, terrible turning cycle. Hard to find the SWB Pajero in Australia. Would look nice to have a Pajero Evolution parked next to it in the garage.
@@ordinary.artistry Brother, I have been reading about it and it seems like a lot of people complain about how thirsty they are. I don't have a car so it would be my city drive too. What's your fuel consumption like?
He's the best! I met him at his previous job purely by chance and we just started talking about bass fishing. A wealth of knowledge on the local waterways; I've learned a lot from him.
Sadly, no. Incredible as it is, I just didn't ride it enough. Truth is between a supersport and a naked, the naked will win every day of the week as a street bike. I still have my SV650. I'd get another sport bike but only as a track bike.
@@robertsmith7854 Awesome. Mine's still chugging along but definitely planning for a rebuild in the future. I'd love to do a full frame off restoration. These little cars are too good.
Looks sick! I love the swb ones! i have 97 with 268k miles that i daily and love it! And wow its crazy that your junkyard actually hard monteros in it..... i couldnt find one for at least 100miles around me
Thanks! They're dope little rigs. They're quite popular in Australia but of course majority of them are the LWB version. Plenty of the Gen 2s still trucking about over here alongside the later models.
Ahhhhh that makes sense... i started to realize you were in Australia way later in the video lol... yeah it was an unfortunate case of Americans not appreciating what they had over here.... lol I dont even see any driving around, maybe the random sport @@ordinary.artistry
Epic quality vid and great, concise review mate! I'm hopefully getting mine tomorrow and watching this just got me even more stoked. Keep up the vids please, you definitely have a subscriber in me!
Sick ride man it looks very clean for the age and mileage. I’m looking at importing one from Japan into Canada. Are the rear seats able to be removed completely? Would you be able to take some measurements of the cargo space with the rear seats folded down? Much appreciated!!
Thank you! I'd love to import a clean one from Japan too, they're such great little rigs. The rear seats are completely removable, 6 bolts if I remember correctly. I'd measure it all out for you but she's at the mechanic's at the moment getting performance headers and a custom exhaust fitted. Should take care of the exhaust leaks and perhaps free up a few more horses.
Best trim is down all all the way, until you give it throttle and get on plane than you can trim up a bit. But otherwise best to have it down all the way.
I've always liked the look of the 1st gens with the tubular frame. I have a 2013 V-Strom 650 with has basically the same engine. I love it and don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. That engine is bulletproof. I could ride anything I want, but there is something about keeping some things simple and reliable. I don't try and keep up with the cool people and get all caught up in the hype of what is new or has better technology.
Yep, legendary motors in these. I’m partial to the first gen machines too. Love the aluminium trellis frame. I’ve seen V-Storms with well over 300,000kms and my SV has a little over 100,000kms. Still pulls, sees redline in the mountains on a regular basis. Such great bikes.
@@ordinary.artistry Yeah, I have about 112,000kms on mine. Still idles like the day I purchased it new. Can't beat Japanese reliability. I will take a Japanese bike over other manufacturers any day.
