I watched it for the first time in 2003. Those words touched me in the beginning, and I wasn't silent in Russia when it was my turn. We fought with modern Evil. Unfortunately, nobody listens to us.
Lol.... American propaganda at it's best. Yet another illegal invasion, but Hollywood to the rescue. Visit Vietnam, and hear THEIR side of the story...
As much as I love Robin Williams, I didn't enjoy this movie. And that is because first, I am not from the US and the movie is full of american jokes (nixon and what not), and second, I don't really enjoy stand up, and this movie relies heavily on Robin Williams' act style. But if you are american and enjoy stand up, then you'll have a blast.
for tony cummings whose was a pilot real dam buster, know them as a good build up of classical music ...barnes wallace and gibson valour and victory. i got rhythm.
R.I.P. 🕯️ROBIN WILLIAMS I will always remember Robin Williams on that Adrian Cronauer's role at Good Morning Vietnam! because when that movie comes in Finland 🇫🇮 it was a first movie that I remember Mr. Williams after that 🎙️
The saddest thing is this movie was made in 1985, but because the Vietnam matter was still controversial the producers waited to see if Oliver Stone's "Platoon" could be successful. After the box office hit and the Oscars, "Hamburger Hill" was finally released 😓 Irvin movie came first, but nobody knew
Robin Williams brought joy to the lives of so many people through his comedy, acting, and charity work. There is no doubt he will forever be remembered for his comedic genius and heartwarming performances. Tragically, Robin died by suicide in 2014 at age 63. The event shook the entertainment world and caused millions of fans to grieve for the loss of such a beloved actor and human being who brought so much humor to the world. What many people do not know is that depression was not the underlying cause of Robin’s suicide-rather, it was a little-known brain disease called Lewy body dementia. In the last year of his life, Robin experienced a startling pattern of behavior. His friends, family, and film colleagues could tell he was not himself as he began exhibiting symptoms like confusion, forgetfulness, paranoia, hallucinations, anxiety, personality changes, and difficulty with movement. Robin could tell something was wrong, too, but he did not know what was happening to him, why it was happening, or how to stop it. Robin and his wife, Susan Schneider Williams, sought help from numerous medical specialists, but were unable to obtain a correct diagnosis before his untimely death. After his death, an autopsy revealed advanced stages of Lewy body dementia, a less common form of dementia that affects an estimated 1.4 million people in the US.
Robin heart and soul was shown in a scene in this film when his jeep was stopped in the traffic jam with all the troop trucks he did an impromptu show for a pleasant distraction for the soldiers in the film. Please let fill back the comments up with more comments(up vote them so they rise to the top also) talking about Robin and His Performance in this film. Instead of everyone filing the comments with how his death effect them. Please celebrate the man and his work his death one just one day out of his many years of him providing quality entertainment.
For such an old film, the special effects were really good such as the dam collapsing, the train being destroyed by the flood and the planes being fired at.
Saw it in 1980 at the Braintree South Shore Plaza cinema with my dad and a friend. I remember there were other more “fun” films playing in others adjacent theaters, yet I didn’t care…I was fascinated by submarines and WW II. I was on a mission
