I’m with you bro I don’t buy gold jewelry only for my fiancé but I think gold looks good on lady’s anyways. I buy myself silver because you get so much more bang for your buck I can have one gold chain or 10 silver chains the choice is simple to me. Silver also is a great place to park money especially if you plan on keeping your jewelry for decades to come like myself. Also another good piece of advice buy the jewelry you like right now if you can afford it because I have seen what prices have done over the last 5 to 10 years for silver and it’s insane. Buy now and watch the same item cost double or tripple in a few short years. Solid video man
I bought this knife around the same time I'd almost believe this as a factory second if I didn't know any better. Anyways mine still going strong don't carry every day but I use it. Occasional strop and it's finger fucking lob off scary sharp lol.
Luke Zion is definitely legit, I’ve personally tested his silver and seen many RU-vidrs also test it (even one with one of those XRF scanners, pretty sure it was CubaKnow but I could be wrong) but you can’t always trust the acid tests as a lot of fake jewellery is just a cheap base metal like copper or brass with a thick enough wrap (not just plating but wrap) of gold that it will still pass an acid test, heck you can even trick an XRF machine into thinking a Tungsten coin is pure gold if you have a thick enough gold wrap around it, and I’ve seen it happen, came up as AU 99.98% I believe (AU is gold), so the machine believed it was a pure gold bar, he cut it open to show me the truth and lo and behold it was a tungsten core but the gold “plating” or wrap as I like to call it was THICK, still not even 10% of the weight of the coin/bar though so still a very big scam, therefore you can’t always trust acid tests or even XRF machines but they definitely help because most fake jewellery isn’t that intricately designed to pass an XRF scan or even being violently rubbed against a testing stone, just be careful brother! Do your research and stay on your grind, don’t let people rip you off and if you do get ripped off don’t let them get away with it, there’s no room for scammers in the jewellery industry, there’s money to be made legitimately in all avenues of jewellery especially nowadays so if you’re selling fake jewellery or bullion as real you’re SCUM! Stay on your grind brother stay cautious and stay humble! Much love from Australia! 🇦🇺❤
U just saved my friends life XD. I gave him the knife to play and the first thing he did is tried to retract the blade without pressing the button. After that it stopped locking.
I use rem has Teflon and with oil application is everything and aerosol is the easiest fastest most assured way to cover any important areas then deploy a few times wipe blow with compressed air and repeat
I wan't one, but they changed the internals to remove 2 locking sears and a locking bar spring. I don't know if they changed it again but for ones made in the last 3 years. It could be possible if you are hearing changes. That change was made to Excalibers over 8 years ago. Not really sure how far back the change was.
I live in Canada and the 4 Max Scout cost 100.00. The 4 Max Elite (S35VN) is sell at 599.00 😱 6 times the price of the Scout. Does it worth it ? NO WAY. The Scout is by far the best option. I have a nice collection of knifes. And this beast is the one that give me the biggest smile in my face. Its insane. It's nice to own knifes with premium material like Titanium, Carbon and ultra premium steel but if tomorrow will be Apocalypse, this folding beast would be the one that I would bring. By far . . .
@@claytonkukes6400 blade hq, most of the places did not change the blade steel in their description. If you find one call the place of sale and ask them to open the box to verify, the paper inside says the actual blade steel on it. Seems like nobody was informed of the change when it happened.
The knife market, like most collectible markets right now, is in shambles with most production knives reselling for 50% or less NIB or LNIB so most sellers are buying in groups or resale instead of retail. This leaves stock on shelves at msrp. Then flippers and/or people like you see them on shelves and don’t want to buy furthering the problem. It’s safe to say that if you buy a knife you really love and disassociate from the market, collectibility is the same. Just don’t over buy or buy because you think it’ll sell out.
Are you sure these aren't knock offs? My Microtech's don't rattle EVER! but my $25 OTF does rattle like shit!! Thats a shitty fix once grease dries up will rattle again!
@@shelbygtrag5859 definitely not a knockoff, I have had both in hand, most of the microtechs over all the years have been hit and miss with the actuation button rattling. I used to get pissed that I spent so much money on a rattle, then sell, until starting to do what I do now. I don’t use my off very much, but since the fix I have popped it in and out each day, as someone would that uses it, the grease actually holds up for a long period of time. I still have the same grease in my heretic and combat Troodon for almost 2.5 yrs now, still fires and no rattles.
@@claytonkukes6400 about the same as a microtech ultratech, it is a great OTF though, I would by before any other at this point, just make sure it is the s30v blade and not the 154cm, I’m not saying there was changes done to the knife, but all the ones I fired with the s30v feel more positive and sound better when deployed and retracted.
cant say i would pay 500 bucks for that especially with those ergos but i can understand the appeal of having a nicer utility blade holder i was even shopping around for some myself the other day
@@Momo-hy7qj i was just looking at oknife and civivi makes an elementum blade holder. of course they're nowhere near as nice but its like 30 bucks and 50 bucks i think respectively and still button locks that ride on bearings
@@Momo-hy7qj i was looking at the oknife otacle and civivi makes an elementum blade holder. of course they're not as nice but they're like 30-50 bucks and crossbar and button locks respectively that run on bearings.
Had any issues with the scarab 2 g3? Mine has misfired randomly both opening and closing. I’ve tried grease, oil, dry. I’ve seen them misfire on unboxing and overview vids too.
@@MrNiceKnife I have no issues with mine yet. Have you taken it apart? Sometimes the manufactures put to much lithium white grease on the spring, that will cause this.
@@Momo-hy7qj yep many times. When I got it, it was practically dripping in rem oil. I dabbed off some and eventually cleaned it and added grease for the slight sing. Still misfired randomly mostly on opening, now it does it mostly closing. I’m running it dry at the moment and was doing good until it misfired on closing. Seems like it happens more when it’s actuated at a slight angle. Knife has a mind of its own lol I have “last gen” combat troodon, Daytona, ultra tech, scarab, and makora 2 that have been 100% sucks that this one has issues.
@@TheJudgeofLevelstm yes I do still have the knife and yes I would sell it. It just sits in the box here. Just give me an email or a contact and we can discuss terms of shipping and payment if you are really interested. Thanks
@@JacobHamilton_22 no time soon, maybe if they have one at blade next year. Gotta work the bugs out first, and see what other changes can be made before I buy in.
Very nice collection.. dig your taste and style in blades... I'm looking for a Benchmade 85 and a reasonably priced 42.. the 85's were available for the longest, and now they're gone.. recently picked up a Benchmade 62 and microtech Tachyon III from ack. I keep getting these thinking this one will be my everyday carry.. than I get em and never want to put in any wear and tear 🙃 new subscriber, keep up the content
I have been carrying the pen since I got it, use it everyday at work, no issues with it yet, the finish might be just a touch lighter from all the pocket pulls, but holding up well.
Yeah the Proof Run had the flute on the top still. However my newer APNC version doesn't. Its a bit of a bummer, but still a good knife and the 6th in my Scarab II collection, 2nd of the GEN3. 🤠👍 Although side note, their Marfione Customs don't have any fluting at all. 😮 I have a few of those also.
Taiwan is the new Japan, when it comes to knives. The AUS10A steel is also Japanese, and gets very sharp, holds a good edge. Very strong and slicey knife.
I agree with you, I’m a USA made knife person. However, that knife and the Rat 1 are two Taiwan knives I’ve been looking at. Knives can break the bank. I appreciate your video, keep up the good work my friend.
