Prognosis is not good for me, but I am being given quite timely care: General Practitioner saw me within 24 hours of idiopathic SSNHL onset and prescribed the 60mg Prednisone immediately. Referred for audiology and ENT within 72 hours. Profound loss in left ear >80dB across all frequencies documented. MRI ordered w/wo contrast with availability in 4 weeks. Follow-up with audiology and ENT in 2 weeks for possible trans-tymbonic injection. Seems the only other possibility for treatment is hyperbaric oxygen. I feel fortunate to have access to such information. By the way, my ENT doctor said he, "He would like to Kiss" my General Practitioner for his timely, skilled handoff as that GP sees cases like mine once every two years. This is great info for me...I've been living with vestibular migraine for 5 years and have been unable to habituate to the low decibel head roar tinnitus. (I have a high pitched ringing in my right ear too but no problem habituating to it.) Listening to your explanations has helped me understand why my tinnitus is extremely loud some days and other days it's a distant sound that is barely noticeable..Thank you!!!!!

Every doctor specialises in one thing as if my ear floats independently in space and is not attached to the rest of my body. No doctor has any intention to address the cause of these ridiculous symptoms, they want us to be sick forever and to keep seeing specialists who discount us. We are not profitable enough, so they want us to die.

This is the most informative video for BH. To this day I don't know why I have a prescription to it. Until now I thought BH is an anti-histamine because it unblocks my nose, but it doesn't keep me awake. I get completely knocked out from a quarter of BH and only AFTER I wake up I get the cognitive enhancement effects, which are comparable to ADHD meds but without the jitters. Also BH gives me allergic reactions to random foods with swelling and hives, but I'm afraid to use my epipen (it creeps me out) so I try not to eat after taking BH (not hard when you fall into an instant coma) and lose weight without trying. The only remedy so far for all these symptoms (both vertigo and allergic shocks) is to remove myself from all sources of non-ionizing radiation. All vertigo symptoms and hives subside when I reduce my screentime and go into deep country-side, near large water-bodies (rivers and oceans, and salty lakes) for a few days. It feels like we are not being told everything. It is as if the doctor-patient relationship doesn't exist anymore. We're being mass-treated like cattle and not told why.

Great presentation! I have suffered from tintinus for 10 years. You need to change your way about thinking about tintinus. Accept and move on. Easy to say but hard to do for people who have comorbities of anxiety and depression.

Why the doctors don t endoscopy eustachian tube to middle ear?

getting treatment within 7 days is almost impossible as you have to be able to make appts in order to even get to the point of this treatment. In canada even after going to emergency it will take weeks to see an ENT .. then treatment and doctor is just a waste of time, money and efforts. Very frustrating and adds to the anxiety. Im a musician now dealing with this and the only thing i can do is learn on youtube then get more anxiety because all i can do is sit and wait weeks before we even start diagnosis

I had vision loss, hearing loss suddenly on my left side in 2019. My MRI in 2020 showed-Ventricles/basal cisterns and extra-axial space: Slightly prominent CSF space within the sella turcica and flattening of pituitary tissue.

Central disfunction changes as you recover ....I like your "like watching television ",I was like this and unbalanced,lot of spacial awareness probs(mine was cerrebellum)...I had a gait (this comes when you walk wide to prevent staggering,and would walk into poles on one side) and the world spinning at first....
