You need to have after delay interaction, you have created on click interaction that's why you have to always tap/click to change frame/Variant of animation. Make sure you follow this with After Delay Interaction.
Very useful and unique content! Like, a lot of Figma 'mentors' like Nick Babich or someone like him, still "teaching" about variants... It's so outdated! Hi there. I can't get the animation preview to work at all. How did you drag it into the phone frame? Mine wont work in regular preview mode either. I followed every step exactly.

Can you please let me know the timestamp of the video which you are referring to? To do smart animate here are few important things to make sure... 1. Make sure you are using same layer name accros all variants of the component. 2. Make sure you are changing properties of the same layer across. 3. @@ux_mate i got stuck after creating componenets and connecting the circles.. i have put after delay options everything along with the time stamps shown on the video but the animation does not get played
@@melodysays30 Make sure you create one component and have variants within it! Not multiple components. Also make sure to have same names for the objects in all variants. It should work properly. I really struggled to see what options your are using while styling, the left and right commands are really small, and you didn't even made a zoom edit for this video, what is the use of the video if we are unable to see it properly.
Extremely sorry for the inconvenience! This video was created a long time back. But I never got any complaints about the visibility. But I will make sure in future video to zoom in wherever required. Thanks for your suggestion.
No they can't modify variables from design system. But they can create local variables. Figma doesn't allow to modify variables from another file as of now.
