I really wish your videos were longer. It would be so valuable to see more of your decision-making process and hear your insights on art history as you work through the layers. You don't need to talk continuously; background music or silence is fine. Just chime in when you are making a decision etc. I'd personally enjoy videos ranging from 15 to 60 minutes. Thanks! (oh, p.s. i grew up in Roch - left for CA at 18 cuz i hated the winters lol. My mother's family came to Buffalo from Germany before moving to Roch)
I love this painting! The colors work beautifully together. The red almost looks translucent so I was wondering if you used a translucent paint. The color combination gives off a patriotic vibe to me, which I love. Bold, bright and lovely! 🎉
Your video is very interesting David. As an abstract painter, I admire your brush work and appreciate your commentary, your sincere admiration for these honourable masters. This painting has much of de Kooning in its surface. I suppose he would go on to find the figure within. You did you, and it's wonderful.
Definitely feel that deKooning and Pollock reference for sure on this piece and I’ve never seen this artists work or his process before. But I am well-versed in deKooning and Pollock. Great reference. Thank you. Peace.
